Are you struggling with yo yo diet ?

The key to sustainable weight loss isn’t counting calories.

This is because not all calorie are created equal.

➡️ 1 gram of transfat = 7 Kcal . This is not the same as 1 gram of unsaturated fat = 7 kcal, found in salmon or olive oils and full of antioxidants and fat soluble nutrients.

➡️ 1 piece of organic apple has less pesticides and more nutrients than GMO grown apple.

➡️ Dairy contains hormones that produce inflammatory responses in your body, which make you fat.

➡️ Unmanaged stress makes your body switch to survival mode which prompt it to store more fat.

❗️If weight loss is as simple as a mathematical equation, obesity wouldn’t be a pandemic problem.

If eating too little fruits and vegetables is the cause of your cholesterol problem, why are you taking a medication for?

If you want to prevent cardiovascular disease caused by insufficient antioxidants from your diet, taking vitamins should not be your first tool of choice.

Unless there’s a genetic mutation that result in extremely high level of LDL or triglycerides, cholesterol buildup from congested liver, insufficient fiber and vegetables in the diet, or over eating , is best tackled at the root cause, not taking a drug or a supplement to mask the symptoms.

Unmasking the signs of inflammation.

Your body provides you more clues than conventional lab tests.

One size fits all approach not only deceive lab tests but also mask your symptoms and may delay best treatment window.

There could be many factors contributing to one symptom. There could also be many symptoms shared by one common contributing factor.

Zinc is not only a critical part of immune system, it is also important components for hormone regulation, insulin sensitivity, and cognitive function.

Too little zinc from diet can lead to increased inflammation in the body, elevated blood pressure and hair loss .

Besides the ones mentioned in the post, white spots on your nails is another sign of zinc insufficiency.

Zinc needs to be in balance with copper and other minerals. Too much zinc can be harmful to your body.

When in doubt, best to get a blood test check your zinc status.

This vitamin deficiency is known to be difficult to spot. Because the symptoms are generalized and often overlap with iron deficiency anemia, it is often missed clinically.

People have been mistakenly put on antidepressants because this vitamin deficiency —- B12.

Lab test can be tricky if the right marker was not ordered.

Serum B12 is not a good indicator of your B12 status. Methylmalonic acid (MMA) is the better one that tell you the level of the active B12 circulating in your body .

You can easily reverse it with B12 supplementation or injection.

Histamine is an essential part of the immune response but it can cause great discomforts when too much of it buildup in the body.

Conventional drugs like histamine blockers help to manage the symptoms but do not help resolve the underlying issue(s). This includes assist the breakdown or prevent the release of more histamine in your body.

One way to reduce the amount of exposure and histamine intake by follow a low histamine diet.

Another way is to unclog your histamine drain by

- Getting enough micronutrients, especially Zinc , copper, quercetin, B6 and vitamin C. These can improve the detoxification and elimination process.

- Get adequate sleep. Insufficient sleep weakens your immune system.

- Stay hydration. Water helps to flush out the excess histamine. Avoid alcohol or diuretic drinks (coffee).

Belching after eating is a common sign of indigestion and low stomach acid.

This used to be an old people’s disease because your stomach acid naturally declines as you age.
