南懷瑾先生:我們這一生,平安就是福(除夕)

其安易持。——《道德經》

如果想立功創業,就要注意“其安易持”這一點。這是什麼意思呢?是說平常的事情,如果要繼續保持平常是非常難的。所以十多年來,我給人寫信,最後的祝福語都是寫“恭祝平安”。人生最難得是平安,人生平安就是福氣。

古人說:“百年三萬六千日,不在愁中即病中”,人的一生,不是煩惱愁苦就是生病,今天感冒,明天腿痛抽筋,都在生病。所以平安最難,永遠保持平安前進是最困難的,真能保持平安,才能保持長久。

“其安易持”,無論是個人事業,或者天下國家大事,要能求到長治久安,就很不容易。政治的處理或者公司、行號能保持永遠的常態,沒有大的變動,已經是莫大的功勞了。創業艱難,守成也不容易,能夠保持到長治,“其安易持”,做到平安,才容易保持長久。

執大象天下往。往而不害,安平太。——《道德經》

“執大象天下往”,這個“象”字,不是叫我們抓一只大象,而是現象的意思。人要懂得天地萬有的大現象法則,則天下都可去得,而無往不利。

人生要懂得這個天地的法則,所以,道家叫我們處世要抓住“大象”。但是人人都不肯注意“大象”,卻經常在小地方計較。一塊錢計較得很精明,而經常幾十萬、幾百萬反而被騙去了。有人拼命地節省,一毛錢也捨不得用,然後積蓄到了幾百萬,拿去放利息,一下子被倒賬,就沒有了。因為他只看到小利,沒有把握大的狀況之故。“大象”是從大處著眼,所以能夠“天下往”。“往而不害”,向前一直去,在完全無害的情況下,永遠都會平安,永遠都是太平。

“安、平、太”三個字有三個意義:“安”是我們現在講的平安;“平”是永遠的平等,沒有波動;“太”是永遠站在原始的基點上。“太”就是原始的那一點,既無進也無退,不是前也不是後,永遠是在那個基點上。也就是儒家所說的,永遠就在人生的本分上。能夠從大處著眼,小處著手的人,永遠都是“安平太”。

南懷瑾先生:過小年,教你一個簡單的“改命法”,力量卻很大

「 過小年,為什麼祭灶神?」

凡是中年以上的人,都見過我們在大陸家庭中供奉的灶神。每到夏曆十二月二十三的晚上,家家戶戶都要送灶,小孩子們非常高興,口袋裡就可裝糖果了。現在用電爐、瓦斯爐,沒有灶了,當然也就沒有灶神。為什麼要祭灶神呢?以宗教思想來說,中國人信仰的是多神教,什麼神都信。

據說灶神一年到頭,不但對家裡人的行為要管,連在心裡起了好念頭,或動過歪腦筋,他都會記錄下來,到一年終了,上天報告好壞。所以鄉下人送灶,弄塊糖給他吃,送一個紅包給他,以便“上天言好事,下地報吉祥”,請他上天報告時,多替家裡講講好話,回來時候多賜些福祉。所以在臘月二十三以後,一直等到第二年初四之間,他在天上還未回來以前,不在家裡的時候,偶爾背後轟他一下,暗地裡幽默他幾句。

王孫賈問曰:“與其媚於奧,寧媚於灶。”何謂也?子曰:不然。獲罪於天,無所禱也。——《論語》

王孫賈,是當時衛國權臣。“奧”,是神秘的意思,相傳是指歷來民間供奉在屋內西南角的神;“灶”,是指民間供奉的灶神。他問孔子,一般習慣相傳,與其祭祀奧神,求他降福,不如求灶神,更為有效。他問,這是什麼道理呢?孔子說,不然!不然!一個人如果自己有罪行,就等於得罪上天了,祈禱哪裡可以得到神的降福呢?這裡的天,並非指有形的上天或天神,它是傳統文化中,用以代表理性的天,所謂第一義的天。

由此可以瞭解,傳統儒家的文化思想,以及孔門為學的精神,雖然極力維護傳統文化的禮樂,甚至保持禮樂中敬事以誠的祭祀,可是它並不是一種宗教信仰和宗教儀式,而是人天之間心性精誠的溝通。如果你把祭祀當作洗刷罪惡的方法,或者祈禱神靈的降福,那就是大大的錯誤。

孔子說,一個人如果有了罪惡,無論你向哪個神祈禱,都沒有用。聰明正直之謂神,拜神祈禱如果可以贖罪,那神便是徇私舞弊,是不正直之尤者。人如果有罪,只有改過修德以俟天,懺悔過去的惡,修未來的善果以回天才對。所以漢文帝在《增祀無祈詔》中說:“昔先王遠施不求其報,望祀不祈其福。”

「 “功過格”的改命法」

從前有一種“功過格”,在一張紙上畫許多格子,有的是三百六十格,一年用的,每天一格;也有一種是三十格,每月一張,一天一格;更有的是每天一張,上面有十二格,每個時辰一格。每天讀完書以後,要靜坐思過,有做錯的事,用墨筆在格中點一個黑點;如果做了好事、善事,則用朱筆在格中點一個紅點,這樣天天反省。也有的是在口袋裡放了紅豆和黑豆,另外掛一個袋子,在書桌的旁邊,如果做了一件壞事,或者動了一個壞念頭,就投一顆黑豆子下去;如果做了一件好事,就投一顆紅色豆子。

這樣一直反省到夏曆十二月二十三,灶君上天向玉皇大帝報告這家人的善惡前夕,就要自己去數紅黑點子或豆子。如果一年來,黑的多於紅的,就要在灶君面前跪下來,自己照數責打自己,而且第二年將是良心上不安的一年。這種反省工夫,做得非常嚴格,絕對不敢欺人或自欺,更不敢欺騙上天的神明。

所以“存其心”,就是每在起心動念、動心忍性之間,慢慢要做到善念的存心多。所謂“善則養心”,因為人在做了一件好事以後,心裡會很快樂,比做壞事害別人痛快得多,這就是“善則養身”的道理。“養其性”這個“性”,是習氣之性,養性就是把壞的習氣,慢慢變過來,變好了,變淨潔了。這種學問之道的修養,是“事天”的,侍奉天的。這個“天”是內在的天性,如信佛的人,也可以說是事佛天;通道教的人,可以說事道天,或者上天也可以,反正有這樣一個代名詞,代表一個看不見的無形力量。

「兩本重要的書」

我們都只知道中國過去教育的目的,大體是走儒家孔孟思想的路線,為建立人倫道德,至於修身、齊家、治國、平天下而教育,所謂功名科第,僅是它的餘事而已。然而因為後儒對於道、佛兩教,素來便有視為異端的因襲觀念,所以對於道家與道教在中國教育文化上的功勞,都是陽奉陰違,忘其所以。現在在這個階段,總算還有若干前輩的長老,尚在人世,可以證明我的所說;所以我肯定地說一句話:中國過去的教育,與中國前輩讀書人的知識分子,他由少年到一生的人格道德教育,大多都以儒家的思想做規範,以道家與道教的精神做基礎,這是什麼理由呢?這便是道教兩本書的力量,即《文昌帝君陰騭文》與《太上感應篇》,這兩本書的內容,等於便是道家與道教的戒條,也就是中國文化教人為善去惡的教育範本,它以天道好還,福善禍淫的因果律做根據,列舉許多做人做事、待人接物的條規,由做人做事而直達上天成仙的成果,都以此為標準。很多世代書香的人家,儘管大門口貼著僧道無緣的標語,但在他們案頭放著教導子孫家庭教育的範本,都擺有,《文昌帝君陰騭文》與《太上感應篇》等書。

關於《陰騭文》與《太上感應篇》的內容太多,研究教育思想的人,不妨找來做一參考,以很客觀的胸襟去讀,對於中國文化,與世界道德教育的瞭解與重建,我想還是具有相當價值的,青年的同學們,不妨以極度的耐心去試試看,當然,我說的耐心,也是有意義的,否則,你也許不肯卒讀,大起反感,過去讀書人用的日常“功過格”,便是根據這兩本書的精神而來。

在此附帶說明中國文化對於人倫道德的基本哲學,徹始徹終,都建立在因果報應的觀念上。無論儒家與道家,畢竟沒有離開這個範圍,只有程度的深淺而已。儒家的思想中,成分比較輕,道家的思想中,成分很重,後來加進佛家的思想,更特別注重三世因果的信念,所以在人生道德修養的方面,便與儒、道思想,不謀而合,很容易互相輔掖並行了。

Meet Christina Ong

Christina has been happily teaching yoga for over 15 years now. She is known for her fun, engaging, and informative teaching style. Her classes provide a safe platform for students of different skill levels and age groups to learn and reap the many wonderful benefits of yoga through creative sequencing and clear instructions.

Christina is a student of life, yoga teacher, meditator, scuba diver, runner, and surfer. Her teaching style over the years has incorporated some of the energetic and anatomical elements of these activities into her class. While living an active life, Christina also strives to live a life of balance. This is where her daily meditation practice and Yin yoga helps her immensely live a life of wholesomeness and flow.

In addition to teaching in studios, Christina also teaches private yoga sessions, and has also taught in special events for W Hotel, Landmark Mandarin Oriental, L’Oreal, Nike, Chanel, Black Rock, and Lululemon. She was also featured in the Mandarin Oriental Platinum magazine.

Christina considers teaching yoga to be a gift and finds life as progressive. She hopes to share this gift for as long as she possibly can.
