Shell Fracture Repair in a Terrapin by Dr. Sergio
Depending on the fracture's severity and the patient's pain levels, this procedure can be performed either while the patient is awake or fully anaesthetised.

This little terrapin had a significantly fractured shell with several loose pieces.

This meticulous process requires patience, involving a step-by-step approach: preparing the shell, applying prosthetics, sealing open areas, allowing everything to dry, and finally securing the shell with stabilisation strips.

Simultaneously, we manage the patient's wounds by treating underlying infections, and ensure proper pain management, hydration, and appetite improvement.

Dr. Peter is performing a sterilisation surgery after diagnosing a uterine tumour in a female bunny.

In the accompanying images, you can see the patient under full anaesthesia and being intubated.

Dr. Peter is performing the delicate surgery while Lenox monitors the anaesthesia.

We are pleased to report the surgery was successful, and our patient was ready for discharge the very next day!
