Recently, “China Science Communication” published a report on scoliosis that introduced 3D spinal ultrasound imaging technology.
The article specifically highlighted the Scolioscan® device and its imaging, citing related studies. The journal highly praised the technology’s core advantages, which includes: “Absolutely safe: completely radiation-free, suitable even for pregnant women; precise and dynamic: enables real-time observation of the spine’s skeletal and muscular conditions; cost-effective and convenient: quick examinations with relatively low costs.”, “Increasingly serving as a standard screening method for scoliosis among primary and secondary school students.”

Our 3D Ultrasound Spinal Assessment Technology was unanimously approved by expert review and voting at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS), and officially awarded the Scientific and Technological Achievement Evaluation Certificate of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (《中国中医科学院科学技术成果评价证书》).

Scolioscan is a palm-sized, portable device designed for adolescent scoliosis assessment. It delivers radiation-free scans in just 30 seconds with accuracy comparable to X-rays, making it ideal for mass screenings in schools and communities. Equipped with AI-powered spine imaging algorithms, the device can automatically analyse spinal curvature and perform repeated scans for follow-up monitoring as needed, enhancing diagnostic safety and efficiency. The device has been commercialised and is now in clinical use in multiple countries.
