唔知大家之前有冇睇過一啲奇聞話喺人嘅口入邊剝咗上百隻牙齒出嚟。其實呢一個情況叫做‘齒瘤‘，屬於一種良性腫瘤。
一般臨床上冇乜特別症狀，有啲病人嘅齒瘤可以匿埋咗十幾年先喺照X光嘅時候被發現。當然及早診斷可以避免一啲不良嘅影響啦。

Not sure if anyone has ever come across some strange news about hundreds of teeth being removed from a person’s mouth. Actually, this condition is called “odontoma,” which is a type of benign tumor.

Generally, it doesn’t have any particular symptoms in clinical cases. Some patients’ odontomas can remain hidden for over a decade before being discovered during an X-ray. Of course, early diagnosis can help avoid some adverse effects.

最近有位病人出現咗一粒牙瘡，已經好耐都未好。奇怪嘅係佢一直都有定期檢查牙齒，醫生都冇話佢有蛀牙，而佢自己都冇留意到牙齒有大嘅蛀窿，只係發現牙瘡附近嘅牙齒對冷熱溫度有啲敏感。檢查之後發現，原來牙瘡嘅細菌來源係一隻「梁氏小臼齒」，所以今次想同大家解釋一下係咩嚟。

Recently, a patient developed a dental abscess that hasn’t healed for a long time. Interestingly, he has been having regular dental check-ups, and the doctor never mentioned any cavities. He also didn’t notice any significant cavities in his teeth; he just found that the teeth near the abscess were a bit sensitive to hot and cold temperatures. After the examination, it was discovered that the source of infection was a ”Leong’s premolar,“ so we would like to take this time to explain what it is.

1️⃣ 懷孕期間可以洗牙嗎？
✅ 當然可以！懷孕4-6個月嘅時候，正正係做牙齒檢查同洗牙嘅好時機，保持口腔健康對你同寶寶都好重要！

2️⃣ 懷孕期間常見的口腔問題係咩？ 🤔
懷孕期間，荷爾蒙變化可能會引起牙齦問題，孕婦更加容易出現牙齦腫脹同埋出血，要特別留意啊！🩹

3️⃣ 懷孕期間用麻醉藥安全嗎？ 💉
一般嚟講，牙科麻醉喺懷孕期間都係安全嘅，但最好提前同醫生傾清楚。

4️⃣ 孕婦適唔適合做X光檢查？ 🩻
如非診斷上有急切性，一般建議生左之後先照X光。但喺做足預防措施保護胎兒既情況下，做X光檢查係安全嘅。

我哋最鍾意見到每次番黎覆診嘅病人棚牙刷到乾乾淨淨！不過，要留意過度刷牙可能會帶黎問題。刷得太用力或者太頻密，會損害牙齦，導致牙齦萎縮，仲會磨損牙齒嘅琺瑯質，造成牙齒敏感同痛楚。過度刷牙嘅跡象包括牙齒近牙齦嘅地方出現光亮、磨損嘅窿。

為咗幫你有效刷牙，我哋建議：

1. 重質不重量：每日刷牙兩次，每次兩分鐘，同埋使用氟化牙膏就足夠啦。
2. 學習正確技巧：以溫柔力度，對準牙齦邊緣，以小幅度（約2-3隻牙為一組）打圈咁刷。
3. 選擇合適嘅牙刷：用軟毛牙刷，避免進一步損壞牙齒。
4. 考慮電動牙刷：好多電動牙刷都有定時器同壓力感應器，可以幫你更有效咁刷牙。

Brushing too hard or too often can damage your gums, cause gum recession, and wear down enamel, which may result in tooth sensitivity and pain. Signs of over-brushing include shiny, worn cavities on teeth near the gum line.

To help you brush effectively, we recommend:

1. Focus on Quality, Not Quantity: Brushing twice a day for two minutes with fluoride toothpaste is sufficient.
2. Learn Proper Technique: Brush gently along the gum line. Move the brush in small, circular motions over the teeth.
3. Choose the Right Toothbrush: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to avoid further damage.
4. Consider an Electric Toothbrush: Many electric toothbrushes come with timers and pressure sensors, which can help you brush more effectively.
