Think running injuries only happen to beginners? πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Even experienced runners can be sidelined by preventable issues - often due to common misconceptions.

Let’s clear up a few:
βœ” Rest alone isn’t always enough - active rehab helps recovery and resilience
βœ” Injuries affect runners of all levels, not just those new to the sport
βœ” Gait analysis and orthotics can reduce the risk of recurrence

Noticed a painful bump on your foot? πŸ‘£

If it feels rough, has tiny black dots, and hurts when you squeeze it, it might be a plantar wart. These warts often appear after contact with virus-prone surfaces like communal showers, pools or gym floors.

Research shows that over 43% of adults have had them, especially those who are active or frequently barefoot in shared spaces.

At Hong Kong Foot Clinic, our team may recommend evidence-based options such as cryotherapy or medicated care to help manage symptoms.

Is it a corn, a callus or something more? πŸ€”

These common foot conditions may look similar, but they have different causes and often need different care.

Plantar warts can be persistent and painful. πŸ‘£

If left untreated, they may grow, spread, or become more uncomfortable. Over time, they can even interfere with posture and movement.

Plantar warts are common in children and athletes, often spreading in communal areas like change rooms and pool decks. Early assessment can help prevent these concerns from developing further.

Appropriate treatment may help reduce discomfort and support your mobility.

Not all orthotics are made equal. πŸ‘£

Prefabricated inserts from the chemist may offer temporary relief, but if you're managing ongoing foot, knee or lower back discomfort, custom orthotics could offer a more tailored solution.

At Hong Kong Foot Clinic, we use advanced scanning technology to design orthotics that match the way you move. Whether you're active, training regularly πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ, or managing daily discomfort, our podiatrists can assess whether custom orthotics may support posture and help reduce strain.
