身口意 Body Mind Speech

Among Body, Mind, and Speech, the most important factor is the mind, not the speech and body. The mind is like the King, while the body and speech are attendants.

The King leads the attendants, who have no idea of directions and simply follow the King. Similarly, in teaching, the emphasis should be on the mind, not the speech and body.

To bring the mind into the Dharma, we must change our attitude. Merely engaging in practices such as Kora, recitation, or prayer without truly understanding the essence of Buddha Dharma does not make sense.

Our motivation must not be deluded, obscured, or polluted by worldly concerns.

To truly engage with the Dharma, the crucial point is to fundamentally change ourselves, to receive the instructions, accept them, and fully attend to them (not merely participate). If your mind is distant from the practice, the purpose of Buddha Dharma, which is to eliminate negative thoughts and obscurations, cannot be fulfilled. Bring the teachings and practices home, and integrate them into your life.

Very often in Rahul's classes, he would be asked by students how a therpaist can (protect) themselves when healing others. In the last Nov class in Nepal, i remember Rahul said we shouldn't use the word (protect) because it means you are weak that needs protection. Instead, we should learn grounding and self healing to maintain.

And there was a time some years ago, he was asked a similar question, "How to deal with client who suck your energies?" Said the student, then I remember very clearly Rahul replied..."Consider you are a battery, then how can you complain others charge your energy ? We should charge up and be ready to charge our clients." His answer was so truth and clear.

About this video, the vibration that goes into my body really makes me feel being charged by the bowls. So refreshing afterwards and highly recommended therapist to do this before your session, to charge up like a full battery.😉
