Recently, I worked with the team at Elsa Law & Co. Solicitors on something many professionals rarely pause to train — how to stay fully present under pressure.

Last week’s Mindfulness for Success: Calm Focus Intro Workshop was a meaningful evening of slowing down, reconnecting, and learning together. Appreciating the groups' openness and presence — listening attentively, sharing and supporting one another with genuine care. 🌿

With the recent Tai Po fire tragedy, many people in Hong Kong are feeling heavy-hearted. Even when we’re not directly involved, news like this can affect our emotional state, sense of safety, and can even stir memories of personal loss — including loved ones we may still be grieving. 🕯️💛

During the workshop, we practiced simple mindfulness tools to steady the mind — techniques that help us stay grounded, increase focused attention, and regain clarity when the world feels overwhelming.

May all those affected — victims, families, fire fighters, and caregivers — receive strength, support, and peace during this difficult time. 🕯️💛 May those who lost their lives rest in peace.🙏

✨ Awareness Brings Choice

Thanks everyone who joined the Mindfulness for Success 101 workshop on Wednesday! It was a delight to guide such a thoughtful and engaged group.

Some participants were curious about how to build more productive habits — especially when it comes to generating clear, creative ideas for their business. That sparked a meaningful conversation about how awareness brings choice — the power to pause, see more clearly, and take action that truly supports our goals.

We explored how mindfulness has two key aspects:
🔹 The receptive side — noticing what’s happening in the present moment with openness and kindness
🔹 The active side — seeing things more clearly, so we can respond with greater wisdom and skill

Together, these aspects help us shift from autopilot to intentional, productive action.

In her mid-20's, despite having a successful career and personal life, GerlieMa realized something was missing in her life. In her search for joy and meaning, she began her personal development journey. She has studied with some of the world’s most renowned authors and masters in the areas of psychology, ancient wisdom traditions, and maximizing human potential, including Eckhart Tolle, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, Jack Canfield and many more, and has meditated daily for more than two decades.

For over 15 years, she held senior positions at a US Fortune 500 Company in Hong Kong and co-operated a trading company, specializing in operations, customer service, and training. In 2013, she left her high-profile career to pursue her passion to empower and motivate people to become their best version so that they can live a more joyful, peaceful and purposeful life.

GerlieMa is living her dream, helping people to embrace their own inner power and uniqueness, to face their life challenges and live their passions with confidence, as well to cultivate mindfulness, love and compassion for oneself and others. She believes that transformation can happen when we meet life’s challenges with an open heart and a willingness to listen to our inner truth.
