Medix

Thyroid disorders are often misunderstood, not because they’re rare, but because they’re complex.
Globally, hypo- and hyperthyroidism are frequently missed due to overlapping symptoms, while up to 50–90% of thyroid cancers in women in high-income countries are estimated to be over-diagnosed.
Between 2013–2017, over 1.7 million thyroid cancer diagnoses worldwide may represent overdiagnosis. Despite rising diagnoses, mortality has remained largely unchanged, underscoring the risks of one-time testing and rushed clinical decisions.
Better outcomes come from integrated review, longitudinal follow-up, and informed opinions.
Medix outcomes achieved:
* Change in diagnosis: 18.5 %
* Change or optimization of treatment: 54%
* Avoidance of unnecessary treatments, procedures, or surgeries: 27%
