Session 2 Topic: Introduction to Commonly Used Statistical Tools and Methodologies

Dr Wilfred Wong, Senior IT Manager of HKU Dept of Paediatrics, will cover essential topics for conducting effective paediatric research, including:
* Common Software for Data Analysis: An overview of popular tools used for statistical analysis in paediatric research.
* Sample Size Calculation: Understanding how to determine the appropriate sample size for your studies.
* Methodologies: A discussion of various methodologies that can be employed in paediatric research.
* Presenting Your Data and Results: Tips and best practices for effectively presenting your findings.

This is an interactive session which you can follow us in performing basic statistical analysis using online resources.
Please prepare a laptop/computer with internet connection, in addition to the one you use for Zoom. Access to Gmail account is also preferred. This session aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills to enhance your research capabilities in paediatric medicine.
