White dew is a very poetic solar term. The name comes from the time when the temperature difference between day and night is the largest. You can easily see condensation on plants in the morning, telling you that autumn is really coming. In the typical autumn climate, it is necessary to start the prevention of ‘autumn dryness’. Dryness hurts the lungs. Those with asthenic body condition are prone to cough, sore throat, respiratory diseases, etc., so they should pay more attention to their health.

What to Do:
- Drink rice water everyday to strengthen the spleen and stomach first and then moisten the autumn dryness.

You might be experiencing a gout flare. One of the most common signs is acute joint pain, often affecting the toes, heels, or fingers with redness, swelling, and intense heat.
Why does gout happen?
It’s all about uric acid.
When there’s too much uric acid in your body (often due to high-purine foods), it can crystallize in your joints and cause inflammation. That’s when the pain begins.

來到秋季第二個節氣——處暑,「處」意指結束,處暑的意思就是「夏季殘餘的暑熱正式結束」,白天可能還是悶熱的,但是晚上開始會有陣陣秋意。氣候由熱轉涼,人體的陰陽之氣也隨之轉換,相比炎夏現在人體出汗減少,可能會出現疲累感,宜多吃清熱安神的食物,適量進食蓮子、百合、桂圓、蜂蜜、雪耳、海帶、海蜇等,有助過渡這個季節交接期。

宜:
⭕養成每日飲米水的習慣,有助預防秋燥
⭕夏天的晚睡調整成早睡早起,有助肺氣舒展
⭕起身喝杯暖蜂蜜水,預防粒粒大便
⭕抽空按按摩,改善血液循環

忌:

Here comes to the End of Heat Solar Term. This solar term marks the end of summer. The temperature in daytime will still be high, but we will begin to sense the arrival of autumn at night. Compared to summer, the body will sweat less in autumn. The body needs time to adjust to climate change, people may feel tired. We recommend to eat more ingredients to clear heat and calm the mind, such as lotus seeds, lily bulb, longan, honey, snow fungus, seaweed, jellyfish etc to adapt to season change.

What to Do:
- Develop the habit of drinking rice water every day to help prevent autumn dryness.
- Try to adjust your rest time and start to sleep earlier and wake up earlier to help your lung qi.
- Have honey water to prevent lumpy stool.
- Get a massage to improve blood circulation.

What NOT to Do:
- In autumn, don’t eat too much spicy food such as ginger, onion, garlic, etc.
- Don‘t eat too much fried or grilled food.
- Avoid extreme exercises as excessive sweating can damage the yang. It is better to carry out subtler exercises like taichi, qigong, yoga, slow-jog.
- Be sure to not adjust the temperature of air-conditioned room to too low, use a proper blanket when sleeping.

踏入小暑時節,天氣悶熱不安,時晴時雨,地面濕氣蒸發迅速,人體亦容易被濕氣所困。當濕與熱滯留體內,未能即時排出,便容易化為「熱毒」,表現之一便是——牙肉腫脹。
若本身屬內熱體質,加上天氣變化、飲食失衡(如進食過多辛辣、溫補或宵夜),更容易誘發火氣上炎,出現牙肉腫痛、口氣重、口乾舌燥等症狀。
可依不同體質作出調理:
🔥 上火型|脾胃濕熱,牙肉腫痛明顯
建議飲用:
竹蔗茅根馬蹄綠豆茶
雙檸米水
食用西瓜、雪梨等清熱生津食物

🌙 熬夜型|肝火偏旺,伴心煩易怒
