其實生理上有反射,中醫上也有說法!

生理反應:
翻白眼是眼球快速往上轉的自然反射,有時並非刻意,例如:
* 疲倦時:眼球肌肉放鬆,自然往上翻。
* 情緒激動或嘆氣時:身體進入「fight or flight」狀態,眼神會不自覺變化。

中醫觀點:肝風內動
中醫有云:「肝主筋,其華在目」,眼的活動與肝密切相關。
當肝氣鬱結、情緒波動大時,肝氣上逆,甚至化風,就會出現所謂「肝風內動」——
常見表現包括:
* 翻白眼
* 眼皮抽動、眨眼頻繁
* 情緒煩躁、易怒不安

所以,下次再被說「翻白眼」唔好意思,其實可能係你氣機不暢。
不如泡一壺花茶,疏肝解鬱,不用一直板著臉呢。

It’s not always attitude — sometimes, your body’s just reacting.

From a biological view:
Rolling your eyes is a natural reflex where your eyeballs shift upward.
This can happen when:
* You’re overtired → eye muscles relax and roll upward
* You sigh or get worked up → your body enters “fight or flight,” and your gaze shifts involuntarily

In Traditional Chinese Medicine:
We say “The liver governs the tendons, and its brilliance reflects in the eyes.”
So when your liver qi is stuck — often from stress, frustration, or internal heat — it can cause what we call “Liver wind stirring internally”.

Signs may include:
* Eye rolling
* Twitching or excessive blinking
* Mood swings or agitation
So next time someone accuses you of rolling your eyes — maybe your qi just isn’t flowing right 
A cup of floral tea to soothe the liver might help you relax, inside and out.

肋骨一陣抽痛、胃脹又作悶?
情緒的鬱結也會帶出以上症狀
Sudden rib pain? Bloated, queasy stomach?
Your emotions might be the hidden trigger.

中醫認為,情緒與氣機運行密切相關,
若肝氣失調、氣滯橫逆,就可能出現「肝氣犯胃」,
導致胸脅不適、胃悶、納呆等症狀。

常見表現包括:
・肋骨兩側脹痛、壓痛感(尤以左側明顯)
・胃頂住、不思飲食、容易打嗝
・壓力或情緒起伏時,症狀明顯加重

容易氣滯者體質特徵:
・經常情緒壓抑、工作壓力大
・長期久坐少動、腸胃功能較弱
・容易脹氣、便秘、經前乳房脹痛

日常養生建議:
・細嚼慢嚥、避免暴飲暴食
・多做伸展運動、早睡早起
・每日一杯疏肝理氣茶,助氣機通暢

茶療推介|玫瑰佛手茶
材料:玫瑰花 5朵、佛手 5克、陳皮 3克
功效:疏肝解鬱、行氣止痛
做法:洗淨後焗水10–15分鐘即可

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, emotional stress is closely tied to the flow of qi. When liver qi gets stuck and moves in the wrong direction, it can “”attack“” the stomach, causing symptoms known as Liver Qi Overacting on the Stomach.

Common signs:
・Tightness or pain under the ribs (often worse on the left)
・Bloating, lack of appetite, frequent burping
・Worsens with stress or emotional swings

People prone to qi stagnation often:
・Feel emotionally suppressed or under pressure
・Sit long hours and rarely move
・Experience gas, constipation, or breast tenderness before periods

Daily support tips:
・Chew slowly and avoid overeating
・Stretch daily, and sleep early
・Drink one cup of herbal tea to soothe liver qi

Tea Remedy|Rose & Finger Citron Tea
Ingredients: 5 rosebuds, 5g finger citron (fo shou), 3g dried tangerine peel
Effect: Relieves liver qi stagnation, reduces stress-related digestive discomfort
How to make: Rinse and steep in hot water for 10–15 minutes

天氣微降,你就四肢冰冷?

穿多無效、手腳冷冰冰,問題可能不止是「怕冷」這麼簡單。
中醫角度,手腳冰冷常見於以下體質:
- 陽虛型:體質虛寒,陽氣不足,未能溫養四肢
- 氣滯型:壓力大、情緒鬱結,令陽氣被鬱住、氣血運行不暢
- 血寒型:嗜食生冷,導致寒邪內藏、血行受阻
- 外感風寒型:初感風寒,氣血凝滯於表,四肢自然發冷
冬季若屬陽虛或氣滯型人士,建議可透過足浴輔助調理,溫經散寒、提升氣血循環。

推介每晚睡前泡足浴:散寒足浴方
功效:行氣活血、溫經通絡、驅寒除濕
材料:桂枝10g、紅花10g、川椒10g、生薑10片
做法:藥材放水中大火煮10分鐘後倒入盆中,加入適量冷水調至溫熱,浸泡雙腳15–20分鐘,每晚一次,連續3–5天為一療程。

小貼士:足浴後穿好襪子保暖,避免寒氣再次入侵。

✅ If you tend to feel cold due to yang deficiency or qi stagnation, try this warming foot soak to boost your body’s circulation.

Warming Foot Soak Recipe
Function: Warms the meridians, promotes circulation, dispels cold and damp
Ingredients:
* 10g cinnamon twig (Gui Zhi)
* 10g safflower (Hong Hua)
* 10g Sichuan pepper (Chuan Jiao)
* 10 slices fresh ginger
Method:
Boil herbs in water for 10 minutes. Pour into a basin, adjust to a comfortable temperature with cool water, and soak feet for 15–20 minutes. Best done before bedtime. One course = 3 to 5 consecutive days.

Pro Tip: Keep your socks on after soaking to seal in the warmth!
