The Hong Kong Enterostomal Therapists Association Limited (香港造瘻治療師學會有限公司), was formed in 2000.

The association is made up of specially trained nurses and professional who have interests in stoma, wound and continence care.

Exciting news! 🎉 We are hosting our annual HKETA Symposium 2026 on Saturday, 4 July 2026 at the Hong Kong Science Park.

This year’s theme is “Stoma, Wound and Continence Nursing: Building Foundations for a Sustainable Future”. The symposium will feature plenary sessions, oral presentations, poster showcases, industry exhibits, and more - all focused on advancing excellence in stoma, wound and continence nursing care.

Mark your calendars and stay tuned for the call for abstracts coming soon! This is a must-attend event for ET nurses, wound/stoma/continence care specialists, and healthcare professionals across Hong Kong and the region.

We just wrapped up another Wound Care Workshop in 2025 about Negative Pressure Wound Therapy ( ) and what a great event it was! The day featured both a lecture on NPWT as well as an interactive hands-on session.

We had close to 50 nurses from hospitals, clinics, from private and public healthcare settings across Hong Kong join us.

We’re so proud to keep promoting evidence-based wound care best practices to our dedicated nursing community. A big shoutout to the HKETA education subcommittee, and executive committee members who have joined, and most importantly our volunteers who made this workshop a huge success!

我們剛剛於2025年圓滿舉行了另一場有關「負壓傷口治療」( )的創傷護理工作坊,實在是一個精彩的活動!當天的節目包括NPWT講座,以及互動實習工作坊。

我們有近50名來自香港各醫院、診所，來自私營和公營醫療機構的護理同業參加。

我們感到非常自豪能繼續向我們的護理同業推廣循證性創傷護理的實踐。在此向HKETA教育小組委員會、執行委員會成員,以及最重要的義工致以最誠摯的感謝,是他們的努力使工作坊圓滿成功!

🌍✨ Happy World Ostomy Awareness Day! ✨🌍

On 4 October 2025, we come together to shine a light on the theme “Invisible Disabilities. Visible Support.” It’s a reminder that while ostomies may not be visible, the support and understanding we provide can make a world of difference.

At HKETA, we are proud to support the in promoting awareness and fostering conversations about ostomy care. Our team, together with other ostomy care nurses in Hong Kong, joined the event in Lok Fu, where we celebrated the strength and resilience of our community alongside inspiring individuals and groups.

2025年10月4日，我們共同聚焦於國際主題：「看不見的殘疾，看得見的援」。這個主題提醒我們，雖然造口可能平常見不到，但我們的支持與理解卻能帶來深遠的影響。

HKETA全力支持香港造口人協會舉辦的世界造口日活動，並積極參與在樂富舉行的大型社區活動。我們的執委成員攜手為造口人士提供關懷與幫助，展現社區的溫暖與力量。

🌟 Exciting Partnership Announcement🌟

We are delighted to announce the formalization of our partnership with (Wounds Australia) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. This milestone solidifies a long-standing relationship built on mutual respect, shared goals, and a commitment to improving care for clients with specialized wound, stoma, and continence needs.

Wounds Australia is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to reducing the impact of wounds through collaboration, education, advocacy, and research. Since its founding in 1994 and nationalization in 2015, it has advanced global wound care standards and improved patient outcomes.

This MOU reflects our shared ambition to drive meaningful healthcare improvements by exchanging expertise, launching collaborative initiatives, and fostering international connections. Together, we aim to enhance research, education, and global events that benefit healthcare professionals and patients alike.
