Stepped into Christ Church Cathedral Vancouver today, drawn by its historic charm and peaceful atmosphere. The grandeur of the stained-glass windows and the gentle hum of the organ welcomed me, wrapping the space in a sacred stillness.
At the heart of the cathedral, I found the labyrinth — a beautiful, intricate path laid out on the floor. I decided to walk it, one slow step at a time, letting my mind quiet and my thoughts settle. Each turn felt like peeling back another layer of distraction, drawing me closer to something deeper within myself.
As I reached the center, I paused. The weight of time, distance, and even the season melted away. It was a moment of grounding, of feeling completely present, far from the rush of the outside world.
Walking the labyrinth reminded me of life’s journey—twists, turns, and sometimes feeling like you’re retracing your steps, only to find you’re closer to where you need to be. I left the cathedral with a renewed sense of peace and clarity, grateful for this simple yet profound experience.
