本會沉痛哀悼亞洲專業輔導及心理協會（Asian Professional Counselling and Psychology Association）贊助人、法律界及教育界傑出先賢胡鴻烈博士（GBS，OBE，JP）辭世，享壽105歲。
胡博士畢生致力於法律、教育及社會公益事業，對香港及亞太地區的專業發展貢獻良多。在本會創會初期，胡博士慷慨擔任贊助人，為本會的創建及發展提供無私的支持與寶貴的鼓勵。他的遠見、學養與胸懷，成為我們推動專業心理輔導與教育工作的堅實後盾。
胡博士熱心公益，關懷社會，終身倡導法治與教育平等。其創辦香港樹仁大學，為無數青年學子開啟知識與成長之門，其貢獻於2008年獲香港特區政府頒授大紫荊勳章，以茲表彰。他的精神將長存於我們心中，激勵後人秉持專業精神，關懷人心，服務社會。
本會同仁同表哀悼，謹向胡博士家人致以深切慰問，並敬以此文，以誌追思。

The Asian Professional Counselling and Psychology Association deeply mourns the passing of our esteemed Patron, Dr. Henry Hung-lick HU(GBS, OBE, JP), a distinguished figure in the fields of law and education, who passed away at the age of 105.
Throughout his life, Dr. Hu was devoted to the advancement of law, education, and public welfare. He made significant contributions to the development of professional sectors in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. In the early days of our Association, Dr. Hu graciously accepted the role of Patron, offering generous support and invaluable encouragement. His vision, erudition, and magnanimity served as a strong foundation for our work in promoting professional counselling and education.
Dr. Hu was deeply committed to public service and the betterment of society. A lifelong advocate for the rule of law and equal access to education, he founded Hong Kong Shue Yan University, opening doors to knowledge and personal growth for countless young people. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2008.
Dr. Hu’s enduring spirit and exemplary legacy will forever remain in our hearts, inspiring future generations to uphold professional integrity, care for others, and serve the community with dedication.
All members of the Association extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Hu’s family. We dedicate this tribute in solemn remembrance.
