A great saint Kabir, once said, Even if God appears in front of me, I will choose the lotus feet of my Guru because after all, he is the one who showed me the way to God. This chant lists the various attainments one could have – material, knowledge or even yogic attainments. Despite one’s pride in all attainments, despite the honour, love and respect that one may gain from people around, there is no point if one does not find a Guru’s grace.
