【最新消息】港大醫學院強調安全使用鋰劑治療有效控制躁鬱症 推廣精神健康公眾教育

由港大醫學院臨床醫學學院精神醫學系領導的跨學科研究團隊，進行本港首個研究，分析了長達16年的數據，證實鋰劑治療躁鬱症的安全性。研究顯示接受鋰劑治療的患者在甲狀腺和腎功能異常的發生率雖然略高於未使用鋰劑的患者，但總體發病率仍然很低。儘管鋰劑在國際指引中被列為第一線情緒穩定劑治療，並在控制情緒發作和降低自殺風險方面非常有效，但由於其潛在副作用導致臨床上未有充分利用。這項研究結果肯定了鋰劑的治療價值，證明只要配合定期監測，鋰劑可以安全地應用於躁鬱症治療。同時，研究團隊亦指出公眾教育對精神健康的重要性，鼓勵患者以正面及積極的態度尋求專業幫助。

港大醫學院臨床醫學學院精神醫學系系主任兼臨床副教授張頴宗醫生表示：「我們的研究結果支持臨床指引的建議，將鋰劑列為第一線躁鬱症的治療方案。透過定期血液監測，可及早發現異常情況以作出干預，讓病人在安全的情況下服用鋰劑。」

目前的研究結果表明，大多數接受鋰劑治療的患者不會出現甲狀腺或腎功能異常，印證在妥善臨床監察下使用鋰劑是安全的。展望未來，該研究還強調人工智能（AI）風險預測技術在促進患者安全方面的潛力。通過分析患者數據，AI可能有助識別在鋰劑治療期間風險較高的患者。因此，港大醫學院研究團隊正在開發一系列AI風險篩查工具，冀為接受精神治療的病人計算個人化的健康風險評分，有助提供依據做出更明智的治療決策，並逐步推動精神健康護理邁向更個人化、預防為本的方向發展。

張頴宗醫生強調：「在妥善監察下，患者可以安心接受具有堅實證據基礎的精神健康治療，例如使用鋰劑作為躁鬱症的第一線情緒穩定劑。」他與研究團隊亦指出，公眾教育對於消除圍繞心理健康治療的偏見和錯誤資訊方面十分重要，他鼓勵患者積極尋求專業醫療協助。 張醫生補充：「病例研究一直是我們作為醫生學習的基石，為我們提供寶貴的見解和啟示。今天，AI 和大數據為我們帶來了前所未有的機遇。這些看似冰冷的數字，對於我們醫護人員來說，卻代表著一個個真實的故事——每個數據背後，都是需要關懷與治療的患者。」

他進一步強調，當前的關鍵挑戰在於如何將這些真實故事轉化為有意義的見解。他續說：「研究團隊正積極結合臨床經驗與AI技術，並善用醫院管理局的高質量大數據，將這些個案轉化為可行的醫療建議與策略。」展望未來，研究團隊期望大數據能成為改善香港精神健康護理的重要工具，使未來的醫療人員能夠為患者提供更精準和個人化的支援。
