It‘s ok to be NOT okay.
It's important to be aware of that injury recovery can be a challenging and difficult process, with ups and downs. One must acknowledges that it's okay to experience a range of emotions, but only positivity.
Sometimes there can be pressure to appear positive and optimistic, but please be reassured that it's acceptable to have negative emotions or struggle at times during your recovery journey.
After all, an injury is not a good thing to happen. So why do we have to be all positive towards such negativity?
The focus should rather be on the recovery process itself, not maintaining a positive facade.
Having a major injury is hard and, in worse cases, can definitely ruin your sports career and plans. Allow yourself to experience the full range of emotions in a compassionate way, rather than feeling obligated to be upbeat at all times during the recovery process.
