Serving the underserved, fighting for better healthcare, and making a lasting impact—one patient at a time. Hi My Name is Natan Webster

With help from Miss Peggy Stranges and Sol foundation I applied to and passed the admission testing, making more than the minimum requirement to enter medical school in Honduras in the summer of 2011. My road to medical school has been challenging at best, as few students in my situation have tried to gain access to medical programs and succeeded, and of those who succeed to get in even fever actually get thru the program. I was born in less than ideal circumstances and have had and uphill battle all the way constantly beating long odds to overcome the challenges of life. I am the oldest of four siblings, and while growing up very poor with a single mother who did and awesome job considering the circumstances, I truly am a product of my family and communities hard work and perseverance. Becuase I grew up dirt poor, I worked during the day to pay my way thru high school at night. It was during this time that I worked for three years at the local hospital in Roatan, it was here that I truly became inspired me to dream big and go beyond the expectations of my neighborhood. I know that inequities exist, and my curiosity for healing and justice deppened. I have made it my personal mission to improve conditions that prevent others from having treatment and access to education and healthcare resources. I have made it my mission to ease human suffering I believe this is the reason I was born. My friends and mentors have said that I am a trailblazer, that I have taken the road less traveled, and that in the face of insurmountable challenges , I have overcome the greatest of obstacles. The reality is that I have had much help to be where I am today, and at every step of the way, I have encountered and relied on the kindness of friends, neighbors, teachers, and mentors to teach me and guide me through the process. Because Honduras really does not offer formal financial aid programs, or student loans, especially for poor people in medical school who´s parent has no valuable assets. Once more I must rely on the kindness of others to help me through my next step in medical school I must fundraise to cover my medical school expenses in order to see my dream of becoming a community doctor come true. While I worked to pay my own way through high school, I am unable to work as a medical student due to the high volume of classes and information I will be required to learn over the next few years. I receive a partial scholarship from the foundation for the advancement of people administered by SOL foundation. which comes under review each year. This agreements as most of you probably already know requires that I raise part of the funds I need from the community. It takes about 8000 dollars per year for me to stay in the program. So am asking friends, family and supporters to dream with me. To support my goal of becoming a physician by helping sponsor my medical education, It would be impossible for me to do this without your help. I am doing what I can in applying to scholarships, finding alternative measures of funding, and now asking for your support. One of the best things you can do besides chipping in yourself is making sure to share this with your friends. I know there are many people who would be glad to help if they only knew about my dream and my story. Every penny donated is a foundational stone in helping me become a doctor with a message and a mission in Honduras. Cesar words resonate with my life goals of community work — “We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community… Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.” I believe in the power we have as a community and hope that you can help me reach my dream of becoming a physician. I proudly continue working hard to be a community doctor. I continue to dream of helping and healing people and with your help, I will be one step closer to creating a healthier, and more just world for all of us. Please make sure to share this Page with your friends. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Here am I. Send me.

In the heart of La Mosquitia, we are building something powerful — not with million-dollar grants or international organizations, but with grit, love, and a calling to serve.

What an opportunity we have today. To bypass the bureaucracy. To bypass the corruption. To go straight to the need. To the people.

We’re bringing healthcare where it’s most desperately needed — remote villages where a doctor is a rarity and medicine can mean the difference between life and death.

No fancy campaigns. No overhead. Just one local doctor, some faithful friends, and even a few strangers saying, “We’ll help.”

Here’s what we’ve already done:
• Treated over 1000 patients in some of the most remote parts of Honduras
• Delivered life-saving respiratory care to children in respiratory distress
• Provided essential medications and chronic disease management
• Traveled deep into the jungle by convoy, foot, and dugout canoe to reach isolated communities
• Managed cases of malaria, severe infections, dehydration, and uncontrolled diabetes
• Provided prenatal care and support for pregnant women in villages parnering with local midwives
• Followed up with patients between trips, creating continuity in places where none existed

And this is just the beginning.

If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something real — something raw and life-changing — this is it.

Think about what we’ve already done.
Now imagine what we can do together.

Let’s write a story that matters. Let’s make a difference.
Come on. Let’s go. Let’s do this. 💙

Back to where it all began.

Weeks ago, I was invited to join a medical brigade heading into Auka, a remote part of La Moskitia. Of course, I said yes—I couldn’t turn down the chance to serve again. But all this week, I was wrestling with the question: How can I make it back to Puerto Lempira to join them?

I thought, I can’t ask for help again… people just helped me get here. But I had made a commitment!

Then, right before noon on Friday—bam—a GoFundMe transfer came through, just enough for me to make the trip. And almost like a sign, bam—a truck was headed out of the village in the evening.

So here I am, back in Puerto Lempira, ready to head into another part of the jungle to be part of this group that will be doing life saving work. This is the same group Peggy sent me out with two years ago. Full circle.

Thank you all for believing in this mission, and in me. It’s a beautiful story we are writing together.

Let me tell you about my ministry — and why it matters.

I live and work among the Miskito people, deep in the jungles of La Mosquitia, Honduras.
In places where the buses and taxis don’t go, where hospitals are hours away, and where survival is a daily battle. Life, happenstance, God, the universe, whatever you want to call it has placed me there to serve.

I don’t have fancy equipment. I don’t have huge funding. It’s just one local doctor with a few facebook friends. 🤗
What I do have is a willing heart, training that you have blessed me with, and a deep belief that every life matters — no matter how remote, no matter how forgotten.

Why should you care?

Because love demands action.
Because suffering in one part of the world is suffering we all share.
Because when you help even one person breathe easier, walk stronger, live longer — you change the world forever.

Today, I need your help:
I’m just 50 dollars away from being able to get back into Suhí — carrying life-saving medical supplies the clinic desperately needs.

If you’ve ever wondered how you could really make a difference, here’s your chance.

Ways to support:

Even $5, $10, $20 moves this mission forward.

If you believe every life has value — if you believe in healthcare— then this is your invitation.
Join us in serving, loving, and lifting up the Miskito people.

Together, we’re writing a new story in La Mosquitia — a story of hope, healing, and unity.
It’s the story of how one local doctor, with the support of friends, family, and compassionate strangers from around the world, can bring real change to forgotten places.
Come on — let’s write this story together.

“Why did You send me out here — into this jungle — where I have to keep begging just to help people?”

I asked God that question today.
I don’t have the full answer.
But I do know this:
Where there is need, there is purpose.
Where there is struggle, there is growth.
And where there is love, there is always a way.
These people need someone to see them and advocate for them.

Right now, I need to raise $200 by Friday to make it back to La Mosquitia — bringing critical medical supplies donated by Clínica Esperanza, Peggy Stranges. Supplies that people in Suhí desperately need. Supplies that could mean healing, relief, even hope.

If you’ve ever wondered if your small action could make a real difference — I’m telling you: it can. It will. It already is.

He is Risen — and so is Hope!

This Easter, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
My friend Jennifer Palermo didn’t just bring Starlink to our remote jungle community — opening doors for connection, education, and growth for the Miskito people — she also gifted me a one way plane ticket to step out of the jungle for a short Easter break.
A true blessing at the perfect time.

Now, it’s time to head back into La Mosquitia.
I’m bringing with me desperately needed medical supplies donated by Clínica Esperanza, Peggy Stranges — supplies that could literally save lives.
But I need your help to get back there.

Friends, family, strangers, community — if you’re looking for a way to live out the meaning of Easter — hope, generosity, new life — would you consider helping me make it back with these critical supplies? Plan to head back as soon as I can raise the funds

You’ll never be able to convince me your friends are better than mine.

My friend Jennifer Palermo took a cargo truck deep into Suhi to set up Starlink—mission accomplished thanks to her uncle Peter Jurka’s technical skills and a trusty water filter. This is a huge deal not only for me but for all the people of suhi. She even jumped into clinic life while we caught up. Her generosity is so inspiring, go check out her work in Africa!

I also picked up boxes sent from Roatán by my friends Joe Gillis and Peggy Stranges. When the work feels overwhelming, God reminds me: I’m not doing this alone.

Getting out of Suhi? A whole other story. Flat tire 20 minutes in, a “less flat” spare, and a bike pump every 10 minutes to keep it alive—but we made it, just in time for the next ride from Nicaragua. That’s the kind of grit this place brings out in people.

Looking for 5 more people to chip in this month and make a difference for Suhí. If you’ve been waiting for a sign—this is it. Thank you to the five people who have already helped us.
The Miskito people and I need you. Let’s go.

Will you be one of them?

Because caring comes with responsibility. It demands action.
And when we act—even in small ways—we change history.

Have you ever tried cooking rice like this? 🍚🔥

What you see in this video is more than just cooking—it’s a way of life. Here in Suhi, rice isn’t just bought from a store; it’s grown, harvested, and prepared by the people who live off this land. Farming rice is hard work, but it provides a staple food that sustains families and entire communities.

Cooking it is another challenge. There’s no rice cooker, no modern kitchen—just did a hole in the ground put some coal in it, a heavy pot, and generations of knowledge. The rice is carefully prepared over the flames, and the plastic method ensures it’s cooked just right. It takes patience, skill, and endurance to do this every day.

🔥 Would you be able to cook like this?
🔥 Could you handle the heat and precision needed?
🔥 Have you ever tried making rice over an open fire?

For the Miskito people, this is life. Just as they work hard to grow and prepare their food, we are committed to bringing them the healthcare they deserve.

Every day, we see the power of compassion in action. Whether it’s a mother traveling for hours in a small pipante to get care for her child, a community member helping a neighbor in need, or the incredible generosity of those who support our mission—you are the miracles.

I truly need and am so thankful for good-hearted people as I endeavor to fulfill our labor of love to serve the Miskito people. Your kindness makes a real difference in the lives of those we serve along the Coco River, where access to medical care is a challenge. Thank you for believing in this work and standing with us as we bring healing, hope, and faith in action to the forgotten.

Good News: A Fetal Monitor is on the Way!

Thanks to the generosity of kind-hearted people like you, we now have a fetal Doppler on the way! This simple device will allow us to monitor fetal heartbeats during prenatal visits, giving mothers in La Mosquitia the care and reassurance they deserve. It’s a small tool, but its impact is huge—helping us catch complications early and potentially saving lives.

The reality here is tough, but thanks to your support, we can provide lifesaving care to those who would otherwise have nowhere to turn.

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do this work, and even luckier to have your support in making it possible.

If you see the value in this work, we need and appreciate your support. With so much tragedy in the world, let’s do some good.

Help Us Bring Lifesaving Prenatal Care to the Miskito Mothers

Almost every day, we do prenatal visits for expectant mothers—but without the most basic tool: a fetal Doppler.

The first time I asked for one, the nurse looked at me and said, “We don’t have one, doc.” I was stunned. How can we monitor a baby’s heartbeat without a Doppler? How can we catch early warning signs of distress?

This simple $89 device could mean the difference between life and death for a mother and her baby. In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve already met children who lost their mothers during pregnancy or childbirth. And I can’t help but wonder—was that death preventable?

Mothers are the backbone of their families and communities. When a mother dies, everyone suffers—especially the vulnerable little ones left behind.

This is what being truly pro-life means: ensuring mothers receive the prenatal care they need to survive and thrive. Would you consider chipping in to help us get this tool for the Miskito mothers?

Too many people just willing to complain. Let’s jump in and help

Together, we can make sure no mother has to go through pregnancy without the care she deserves.
