Preparing the rest of the school supplies for the rest of the schools we plan to visit. It never fails if I get out something to do everyone pitches in to help with the job.

Joel, Jimmy, Emma and Elder went to put some extra wood on a house as an Elderly lady, Marie, lives on the edge of the mountain and is taking on the elements. They put extra wood on her house and took food and supplies to her and her sisters. It is so important to honor and care for the Elderly. Many have no one to care for them.

This year begins and we are looking forward to our 19th anniversary in August. Today my staff and I enjoy the mission and a lunch together.

Today was very special in a mountain village here... Aragua. Two years ago we noticed the school was falling down. One building condemned so the Kindergarteners were walking for hours both ways to attend in another town. So, the project began. The community helped every step of the way to meeting the goal of giving their children the education they deserve. The new uniforms was made possible by Bentonville Church of Christ. Work and funds was provided by Torch Missions teams, Pennyrille Church of Christ, Cleveland Church of Christ, R1T1, North Boulevard Church of Christ, Clinica De Esperanza and many other friends Torchers and Clinic supporters who sent funds for building & library books for the kids. We installed a 250 book library last week and opened it today. The school was dedicated today in memory of our friend, Maritza, who lost her life this year. She did so much to rally the community for help with the school. We had the pleasure of meeting with children, parents, and community leaders, teachers and friends and the family of Maritza.

It is cold here most days at this time of year. At least it is cold for a tropical country . Nothing thrills them more than receiving a warm hat. Thank you Ellen.!!She makes hats full time for the clinic and other special things. Thank you for the smiles. Enjoy!

This Christmas day I am thankful. There is a family that has come beside the Clinica De Esperanza for many years. They are a package deal. Byron and Pamela Sommardahl come with a family, a extended family and alot of friends. People are drawn to them as they are the real deal. Giving without thought of getting anything back. Always thinking of ways to help the Clinic grow.
Honestly, Im not sure how we survived before the family joined our fight to help the poor. It has been beautiful years of committment. When you get the family you get moms, cousins, friends and neighbors to go with the deal. Bryon, Pamela, Emma, Nathan, Annie, Jessie, Cristian Garcia, Elder Cerrato, Rosinda, Juan Antonio, Ana Vasquez, and Jimmy & Zuri Cruz.

I am in awe of all of your incredible support to the Clinica de Esperanza (Clinic of Hope) in the one fundraiser we do every year. We look forward to joining with you in Honduras to make a difference in others lives. When you make a donation, we picture you there beside us in the field.
