Matt Miller is a multi-talented brother who is the meteorologist for KSNT News in Topeka, KS, an adjunct professor at Washburn university, owns an ice cream shop, and preaches for the Central congregation in Topeka. Friday he shared encouraging words with our students at chapel and participated in the Positive Preaching class led by President Steve Teel. Brother Miller is part of a mission team from churches from Topeka, Kansas, and Temple, Texas that have built homes for the poor and conducted medical brigade in the Ulloa and Suyapa churches. We thank God for their work and Matt’s service and dedication.

The evangelistic campaigns have begun! Our students have set out to various communities across Honduras and Nicaragua to share the gospel. We are deeply grateful to the local congregations for warmly welcoming them and offering such generous hospitality. Let us pray that many hearts will be touched by the message of salvation.

It was a deeply emotional day for our fourth-year students as they received words of farewell from their classmates and were presented with Bibles as a symbol of their calling to missionary work. Before beginning their five-month internship, Baxter President Steve Teel led a heartfelt prayer with students and faculty, asking God to guide and use them in the places where they will proclaim the gospel. Let us join together in prayer for them.

When I asked Esteban de Colombia, Kaled of Nicaragua, Juanes of Colombia, Ariel of Nicaragua, Caleb of Cuba, Jared of Honduras, Matias and Marcelo of Nicaragua (sons of our married students), what is the name of their “gang”, they responded, “Los Misioneritos” or the Little Missionaries. It’s amazing how God works; two years ago one graduated who was the son of a Baxter graduate, last year two graduated who were sons of graduates, and presently we have one studying who is the son of a graduates. In a very real way they are misioneritos - future missionaries to Latin America.

Close friends and fellow Peruvians, David Colonia and Eber Martinez, are deeply grateful to God for guiding them to study at Baxter over the past four years and for the blessing of being part of such a loving community. Now, they are preparing to begin their Missionary Apprenticeship Programs—David in Colombia and Eber in Panama. We praise God for their dedication and pray for success and impact in their upcoming mission work.

César López and wife Gladys shared their experiences at Baxter during these four years and dedicated a few words of thanks in chapel. They emphasized the value of friendship, dedication to studies, and service in the congregations. Above all, they thanked God for the birth of their third daughter, Daniela Sofia. They will soon be doing their Missionary Apprenticeship Program at the Church of Christ in Mololoa (Tegucigalpa). “We are preparing ourselves with much faith and excitement to collaborate in the different ministries.” &GladysLopez

🌟 Building Permits Requires Emergency Training. With Baxter’s continued building expansion, we have developed contingency plan in the case of an emergency. Training on the use and handling of fire extinguishers for various purposes was conducted. Students, administrative staff, maintenance crew, and kitchen personnel actively engaged in practicing with the fire extinguishers. We extend our gratitude to Grupo Elite from San Pedro Sula for conducting the training classes.

🌟 Our cherished fourth-year students are gearing up for their Missionary Apprenticeship Program. We’re thrilled to unveil the destinations awaiting each of them! They’ll soon embark on journeys to various congregations in Latin America to spread the word of the Gospel and serve in these communities.
