La mayor satisfacción que puede sentir un entrenador no reside en saber más que el alumno, sino en ver cómo este empieza a comprender. No estamos aquí para demostrar que somos mejores que nadie. Lo que realmente importa es ver dedicación, constancia y corazón. Cuando alguien sube al tatami dispuesto a aprender, a esforzarse y a crecer, incluso cuando la vida es ajetreada, el cuerpo está cansado o las cosas son difíciles, nos recuerda por qué enseñamos. Ese coraje y compromiso dan sentido a nuestro trabajo.
Compartir el Jiu-Jitsu es una de las mayores alegrías que tenemos. Cada alumno que asiste nos enseña algo a cambio: cómo ser más pacientes, más humildes y más agradecidos por el camino recorrido. Nuestra esperanza no es que nuestros alumnos se vuelvan como nosotros, sino que nos superen en la vida y en el tatami. Y en ese proceso, nos ayudan a ser mejores maestros, mejores líderes y mejores personas. Porque, en realidad, ninguno de nosotros está por encima de los demás; todos aprendemos juntos.

The greatest satisfaction a coach can feel is not in knowing more than the student, but in watching the student begin to understand. We are not here to prove we are better than anyone. What truly matters is seeing dedication, consistency, and heart. When someone walks onto the mats willing to learn, willing to try, and willing to grow—even when life is busy, the body is tired, or things are difficult—it reminds us why we teach. That courage and commitment give our work meaning.
Sharing Jiu-Jitsu is one of the greatest joys we have. Every student who shows up teaches us something in return—how to be more patient, more humble, and more grateful for the journey. Our hope is not that our students become like us, but that they surpass us in life and on the mat. And in that process, they help us become better teachers, better leaders, and better people. Because in truth, none of us stand above the others—we are all learning together.
