Sometimes life reflects back what youโve already felt in your bones.
This week, it did just that.
Our June retreat venue on Hvar was featured in National Geographic Traveller.
The article was titled Wild Wellness โ and it described Hvar, and Castaway, as a place for wellness purists. A place for nervous system reset.
I felt this land deeply.
Not just because this is the name of my business, but because this year Iโd made a quiet but radical risk in the direction I was going with it next. Because it felt rightโฆ
My instinct was this:
To stop adding.
And start subtracting.
I removed the word yoga. I teach flow now โ intuitive, embodied, responsive to the body rather than performing shapes.
I stepped away from rigid retreat expectations. My approach to nourishment is closer to how life is lived here. Seasonal. Local. Mediterranean. Traditional. Food prepared slowly and shared with time.
No potions.
No miracle fixes.
No outsourcing our wellbeing.
Just nature.
The elements.
And a nervous system remembering how to soften when it feels safe.
There were moments I wondered if it would be โenough.โ
But when I first spoke with the owner of this place, I felt a clear yes in my body. This was the place.
And I chose to trust it.
Seeing those same words reflected in this feature back felt like true alignment.
Not validation. Alignment.
A reminder that when we trust our instincts โ even when they take us slightly off the expected path โ they bring us closer to what is true.
This retreat is about less.
Less noise.
Less stimulation.
Less doing.
More sea.
More sun.
More honest movement.
More time.
Polako.
We donโt need another product.
We need space to come home to ourselves.
If youโre feeling your own quiet yes reading this โ trust it.
Iโve still a few places left and Iโd be happy to chat with you about the finer details.
