It is our highest honor to congratulate the winners of the Brain-Gut Axis Research competition and allowing them to expand their research opportunities and experience in international laboratories.

Antea Kršek has secured her place at the Pröbstel lab at the University of Basel, Switzerland.
Saleha Redžepi has won an internship at the El Aidy lab at the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
Vu Thu Thuy Nguyen has won an internship at the Đogaš lab at the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences Split.

The monetary awards to allow winners to find accomodation and cover travel costs have been sponsored by Mindset Health, Nerva!

This is how our opening ceremony on the 8th of October looked like!

After registering the participants, Anđela Škarpa has invited the choir of the School of Medicine Zagreb, Lege artis to open the conference with the academic Gaudeamus song.
The dean of the Faculty of Science Zagreb, prof. Mirko Planinić has inspired us with his speech, after which Margareta Sačer has read the support letter of the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, the patron of our conference.
Our president of the organizing committee, Kamelija Horvatović has then introduced the organization to all present participants and invited the first lecture to begin.

What a great way to start these two days of networking and learning!
