Dragi naši, ako imate problem s koljenom ili kukom nemojte plivati prsno!!!
Ovih dana me nekoliko naših pacijenata podsjetilo na jednu bitnu stvar.
Vratili su se s mora s bolovima u kuku ili koljenu koje je nekad prije billo ozlijeđeno ili operirano.
Kažu – do mora je sve bilo super i onda kada su već zaboravili da su ikada imali ozljedu – odjednom bol!
Koljena i kukovi općeniti ne vole pokret tzv. „žabice“ koji činimo s nogama kod prsnog plivanja.
To ne znači da morate plivati leđno. Možete plivati slobodnim stilom ili pak rukama nastaviti plivati prsno, a na noge staviti kratke peraje koje će vas prisiliti da nogama radite pokret koji vam neće isprovocirati bol.
Dapače – takvo plivanje će goditi vašim koljenima i još više vašim kukovima.
Stoga, ako vam je ostalo još malo morskog godišnjeg odmora, a imate problema s kukovima ili koljenima – uživajte plivajući na pravi način!😊

If you've got knee or hip trouble, steer clear of doing the breaststroke while swimming!
Lately, a few of our patients have reminded us of something pretty important. They've returned from their seaside getaways with unexpected pain in their hips or knees, which had previously been injured or operated on. It's like everything was fine until their seaside holiday, and then, when they'd almost forgotten about their old injuries, suddenly, the pain came back!
Knees and hips, in general, aren't big fans of the frog-like leg movements that come with breaststroke swimming. But don't worry, you don't have to switch to swimming on your back. You can choose to swim freestyle or, if you're still keen on using your arms for breaststroke, pop on some short fins on your feet. This will encourage a leg movement that won't stir up any pain. In fact, this type of swimming can do wonders for your knees and hips.
So, if you've got a bit of your seaside holiday left and you're dealing with hip or knee issues, make the most of it by swimming the right way!
