Magic in a cup and the power of ‘shrooms

Before founding Mushroom Cups, Stipe Rezic was a professional basketball player, member of the Croatian National Team. The life of a pro-athlete is focused on constant improvement - the minor improvement in speed, agility, or endurance can decide the outcome of the game. To cope with this challenge Stipe experimented with a wide spectrum of supplements, diets, and exercise systems for years, but being a guinea pig comes with a price. After experiencing severe side-effects and needing multiple surgeries to reverse damage from the artificial supplements that were supposed to enhance his performance, he decided to turn the slate. Stipe now had an urgent desire to find his way to the top performance without destroying his body...

Croatia, in its pristine beauty, is home to many forests. One of the many treasures they hide is a humble mushroom. Stipe knew about their healing properties from before - as a kid, he heard stories from his mushroom enthusiast neighbor. Cautiously and under the guidance of experienced mushroom-hunter, he started using local mushroom varieties in his diet and very soon felt some surprising benefits.

He was hooked for life! The real game-changer happened after he found out that all the bioactive substances from the mushrooms can be derived and used as a powder. Soon his daily coffee was regularly mixed with his favorite mushroom extracts.

A couple of years after retiring from the basketball, he decided to dedicate himself full-time to deliver this magical blend to the world. After partnering up with a scientist and entrepreneurs, a long and expensive process of research and development begun. Hundreds of coffee, mushroom, and super-shroom combinations were formulated, extensively tested, and evaluated for a comprehensive collection of criteria; the dual-extraction process was developed; several selection phases completed.
