Interreg - IPA CBC: To 0 Waste TAEKWONDO CHAMPION PROMOTES ZERO WASTE :)

The Municipality of Tuzi continues to take concrete steps toward a more modern and efficient waste management system through the TO 0 WASTE project.

As part of the project, new municipal equipment has been acquired:

🚛 Two specialized trucks for separate waste collection
🏗️ A grabber for bulky waste
🗑️ 1,000 households will receive a set of three bins for separating paper/cardboard, plastic, and meta

▶ At the end of the video, Montenegro’s best athlete of 2025, Andrea Berishaj sends a strong message – separating waste is a simple habit that makes a big difference for the entire community :)

ClimBeach NEW WEATHER STATIONS INSTALLED AT THE BEACHES 🏖️

As part of the ClimBeach project, four new weather stations have been installed at the beaches of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

✅ The aim is to strengthen climate and weather monitoring on beaches, enabling data-driven analysis of long-term environmental trends and informed decision-making for sustainable coastal management.

ZADAR GETS CLEANER :)♻️

As part of the Pilot Action: Improved separate waste collection in the City of Zadar, City of Bihać, Municipality of Vitez and Municipality of Zeta, the RECIRCLE project proudly announces the installation of modern waste containers across the City of Zadar.

✅ A total of 15 sets of above-ground containers and 14 sets of semi-underground containers now serve the city’s busiest residential areas, replacing older containers and bringing a fresh, efficient approach to waste management

BETTER CARE FOR PATIENTS AT MOSTAR HOSPITAL :) 🧑‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

As part of the Interreg DIGIHEALTH project, the University Clinical Hospital Mostar has acquired equipment for monitoring patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Interreg GIFTSnet MEDIEVAL TOWER IN KARLOVAC OPENS FOR VISITORS!

The historic “Branič Tower” at the Old Town of Dubovac has entered a new chapter. At the close of 2025, a comprehensive interior renovation was completed as part of the project GIFTSnet – Network for Green and Inclusive Fortified Tourism Solutions project, breathing new life into one of Karlovac’s most significant heritage landmarks.

NEW EQUIPMENT FOR BETTER WATER MANAGEMENT IN TREBINJE AND HERCEG NOVI

As part of the WATERLINK project, the City of Trebinje has purchased new equipment to monitor its water supply system, including devices that track flow, pressure, and allow remote household meter reading.

✅ This will help detect leaks faster, reduce water loss, and improve network efficiency and reliability.

👉 Monitoring and Management Center for Herceg Novi’s water supply system has been installed at the Opačica source in Zelenika, which will also help with water management.

Marrobo INNOVATIVE MARINE ROBOT ACQUIRED 🌊 🤖

As part of the MARROBO project the Municipality of Neum and the University of Dubrovnik have completed a key phase of activities aimed at strengthening innovative marine robotics capacities in the Adriatic region.

✅ The new equipment acquired includes an advanced underwater robot and a remote underwater digital acoustic recorder.

✅ The newly procured equipment significantly enhances the partners’ ability to conduct underwater research and monitoring.

IMPACT First Call for Applications Launched

A call for applications inviting cross-border regions to participate in IMPACT, the “Interreg Mechanism for Promoting Active Communities and Territories” project – a new DG REGIO-funded initiative in co-operation with the OECD, has been launched.
