Interreg IPA Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro Interreg IPA Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro

Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020 is a trilateral programme implemented during financial period 2014-2020. The overall aim of the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020 is to strengthen the social, economic and territorial development of the programme area through the implementation of joint projects and activities in the areas of health and social care, environment protection and sustainable energy, development of sustainable tourism, cultural an natural heritage and strengthening of competitiveness and business environment. The overall budget of the Programme for period 2014-2020 is 67,241,552 EUR out of which 57,155,316 EUR represents EU co-funding (85%) and 10,086,236 EUR represents national co-funding (15%). The programme area includes 12 counties in Croatia, Brčko District and 109 municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and 10 municipalities in Montenegro.

As part of the WATERLINK project, the city of Trebinje acquired a new 10 cubic meter water tank.

DEVELOPING SMARTER AGRICULTURE :)

A smart pest detection trap has been installed in a vineyard in Lovorno Polje, Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija, as part of the Crossmart project.

✅ The smart trap enables data collection, processing, and analysis, including automatic detection and prediction of pest development in both larval and adult stages.

✅ It also provides reporting capabilities, data overviews, and a detailed weather forecast available through the application.

The strategic project LIFEGATE is recently contracted within the Interreg VI-A IPA Programme Croatia–Bosnia and Herzegovina–Montenegro 2021–2027.

👉 Its main goal is to reduce mortality from cardiovascular and malignant diseases by improving access to all levels of healthcare. The lead partner is the University Clinical Hospital Mostar.

AllerShield KEEPING THE ZADAR COUNTY AIR SAFE :)

Recently, as part of the AllerShield project, new air quality monitoring stations have been installed in the cities of Biograd na Moru and Nin, as well as in the municipality of Starigrad-Seline.

BEAUTIFUL MURALS SHINE IN THE CITY OF TUZLA

As part of the project Sport Facilities Green Energy-SINERGY the city of Tuzla has received three murals with strong environmental messages, created by visual artist Ljubomir Todorović.

❗👉 These murals are not only visually appealing works of art—they also serve as air purifiers. They were painted with special BOYSEN KNOxOUT paints, which break down harmful air particles, providing an annual air purification effect equivalent to that of about one hundred mature trees.

ENHANCING SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR VULNERABLE GROUPS IN VUKOVAR AND VINKOVCI

As part of the HEARTS project, two important activities were recently held to enhance health and social services for vulnerable groups :)

✅ In Vukovar early intervention services were presented to raise awareness among professionals and the wider public about the importance of timely support for children with developmental difficulties and their families.

✅ In Vinkovci a five-day training was held at the newly equipped sensory room of the Community Service Centre.

We are proud to present one more project activity that helps local communities to face one of many health issues. Our partners from Zavod za javno zdravstvo Zadar have started a public awareness campaign focused at cervical cancer prevention!

👉 Cervical cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in younger women, but with proper education, testing, and vaccination – it can be almost entirely prevented.

👉 Infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV) affects most women at some point in their lives, but in most cases, the infection clears on its own. However, certain types of HPV can cause changes in cells which, if not detected early, can lead to cancer.
