Checking my notes, I see that this is the 15th consecutive year of the Echo of Simplicity retreat (but 22nd and 23rd Echo groups).

This year's topic is the (im)perfection of being human, learning to relax in it, maybe even falling in love with it. Exploring the ability to move and be moved, to find forgiveness for our collective and individual imperfect human nature but also feel awe and beauty of our brilliance and impermanence. Or as poet Ocean Vuong said - on earth we're briefly gorgeous.

U nedjelju 31.8. 10:00-13:00h Laszlo Pinter i ja u Zagrebu držimo CIR ICBP radionicu Protok na kojoj radimo na različitim praktičnim načinima otvaranja vlastitog tijela za više živosti, užitka, opuštenosti i snage.

🔸JULIA MERCURIO is a certified & accredited 5Rhythms teacher, who's been dancing for over 13 years and offering events in Budapest since 2016. With sensitivity and well chosen music she creates a safe space to free the body and explore the deeper layers of the soul. She holds a Masters of Art in Intercultural communication, and has trained in different somatic practices, including CoreSoma. The space she holds offers a journey through different energies - from nourishing, to focussed, over ecstatic to playful and sacred. A core theme of her teaching is how to truly fall in love with ourselves and how to use embodiment as a natural resource for healing.

Dear dancing community, for my Echo of Simplicity retreats Sep 13th-17th and Sep 20th-24th on the island of Vis in Croatia, I'm looking for:

✨ DANCE ASSISTANT(S)
Preferably one person who would assist me in both retreats 13.-17.9. & 20.-24.9.2025. Or two people – one from 13-17.9. and the other 20.-24.9.

This is my 14th year of teaching this beautiful work, and there have been 18 full groups since 2012 🙂
The person I'm looking for would be someone who is:
- an accredited dance teacher (5R, OF, MM…)
- who is actively teaching in Europe (or traveling to Vis from Europe)
- open-hearted, joyful and easy to live with
- who loves the idea of spending two dance weeks on a Croatian island at the end of the summer…

The assistants' work gives you plenty of free time, I'll give you more details if/when you contact me.

✨ CREATIVE TEAMS
for making visuals in our gorgeous old dance venue. I need one person for the first group (September 13th -17th) and two people for the second (September 20th-24th).
The creative team gets a very generous discount to the retreat price.

✨ WORKING TEAMS for the same dates – 3 people in the first and 3 people in the second retreat. The work is not hard, more details if/when you contact me. The working team gets a 50% discount.

U ovim dinamičnim tjednima sam potpuno smetnula s uma da je ovaj petak predzadnji ples prije velike ljetne pauze! Šaljem i vama podsjetnik i nadam se da se vidimo.

Svaki put kad naletim na ove fotke, zapljusne me val sjećanja — prvi koraci našeg novog/starog dream tima, ušuškanost novog prostora tik uz more i borovu šumu, polaznici koji su u 5 dana otvorili srca i tijela i vratili se sebi...

A ove godine? Radit ćemo duboko, živo i srceotvarajuće, kako već znamo.

Ali iskreno, nakon intenzivne radne godine, najviše me zove istraživanje otoka nakon radionica. Povijesni gradići Veli Lošinj, Osor, Valun, Lubenice... skrivene plaže, šume, fina klopa... Sve što mi treba za reset, nadohvat ruke. Ajmo, ljeto, čekamo te!

Every time I come across these photos, I am swept away by a wave of memories — the first steps of our new/old dream team, the cozyness of the new venue right next to the sea and the pine forest, the participants who opened their hearts and bodies and returned to themselves in those 5 days...

And this year? We will work deeply, lively and heart-openingly, as we do.

But honestly, after a pretty intense year of work, what I most want to do is explore the island after work. The tiny historic towns of Veli Lošinj, Osor, Valun, Lubenice... hidden beaches, forests, fine dining... Everything I need for a real reset, right at my fingertips. Come on, summer, we're waiting!
