The project was implemented in partnership of City of Subotica, municipalities of Gorjani, Strizivojna and Vladislavci and National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED).

✅ This project was aimed to jointly prepare and develop a conceptual model and implement a pilot action to create energy-efficient communities in the cross-border region.

Rebioforests PROJECT ACTIVITIES HASTEN IN 2026 🌳🌲

In 2026, REBIOFOREST project partners continued with intensive professional, technical, and organizational activities aimed at restoring degraded forest ecosystems and strengthening their climate resilience in the cross-border area of Croatia and Serbia.

✅ As part of the scientific analysis, pedunculate oak seeds were sown and are used for planting in the pilot area. This activity represents an important step in linking the project’s scientific foundation with the practical implementation of forest ecosystem restoration measures.

Digiarch project ARCHIVAL AND MUNICIPAL RECORDS BEGIN DIGITAL JOURNEY

Following staff training and the installation of scanners, the project DIGIARCH entered its active digitalization phase.

✅ In Municipality of Apatin, the team focused on scanning historical archival documents, while in Municipality of Magadenovac, attention was given to digitizing official municipal gazettes dating back to the founding of the municipality.

✅ This dual approach ensures both the preservation of fragile historical records and the safeguarding of key administrative documents.

Retfor EDUCATIONAL CHILDREN’S BROCHURE PUBLISHED 🙅‍♀️💁‍♂️

As part of the project RETFOR, an educational children’s brochure titled “Srna Jelica u Spačvansko-bosutskoj šumi” has been published.

✅ The publication serves as a guide through one of the region’s most significant forest ecosystems, with the aim of introducing young readers to the fundamental concepts of forests, their importance, and the way they function as living systems.

IMPACT First Call for Applications Launched

A call for applications inviting cross-border regions to participate in IMPACT, the “Interreg Mechanism for Promoting Active Communities and Territories” project – a new DG REGIO-funded initiative in co-operation with the OECD, has been launched.

AI-ENHANCED ROBOTIC WELDING ACROSS BORDERS 🤖

The AI-WELD project (Advancing Innovations for Welding through Artificial Intelligence Across Borders), has been successfully completed, delivering significant results in the field of smart manufacturing and advanced welding technologies.

✅ During the implementation period, the partners jointly developed and tested an AI-based system capable of real-time weld seam detection, adaptive robotic control, and dynamic adjustment of welding parameters.

✅ The solution was validated through prototyping, testing, and a live demonstration event, confirming its technical feasibility and applicability in industrial environments.
