Interreg IPA Croatia-Serbia Interreg VI-A Programme Croatia-Serbia It represents continuation of successful cooperation between two countries established previous financial perspective.

Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Serbia 2014-2020 is a new cooperation programme envisaged to be implemented during financial period 2014-2020. The overall aim of this Programme is to strengthen the social, economic and territorial development of the Programme area through implementation of joint interventions in the areas of health and social care, environment protection an

d sustainable energy, development of sustainable tourism and strengthening of competitiveness and business environment. The overall budget of the Programme for period 2014-2020 is 40.344.930 EUR out of which EU funding (85%) is 34.293.188 EUR and 6.051.742 EUR represents national co-financing (15%). The programme area includes 4 counties on the north-east of Croatia and 5 districts on north-west of Serbia.

Interclim How Rainwater Can Become a Resource For Cities? 💦☔️

How rainwater can become a resource for cities – one of the answers to this question was provided by Milica Vasić, a PhD student at Prirodno-matematički fakultet Novi Sad (zvanična stranica) and a member of the INTERCLIM project.

✅ At one of the INTERCLIM workshops, innovative solutions for preserving drinking water and better managing water in cities in general were presented, as one of the solutions for adapting to climate change.

✅ Furthermore, micro-meteorological sensors, together with built-in solar plant information will provide to the population in the cross-border region with in-depth knowledge about actual effective use of solar power.

This year’s international tourism fair PLACE2GO, which took place at Zagrebački Velesajam, was attended by the Municipality of Ernestinovo and the straw workers from Tavankut, who are participating in the joint implementation of the INNATUS project within the Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia – Serbia programme.

✅ The INNATUS project used this opportunity to promote the tourism offer, increase brand recognition and establish relationships with potential partners and clients

Rebioforests GENE BANK FOR OAK TREES ESTABLISHED 🌳

As part of the Interreg IPA Croatia-Serbia project REBIOFORESTS, a gene bank of pedunculate oak was established in Serbia on an area of 9 hectares, comprising 103 half-sib families originating from a generative seed orchard.

✅ Maintaining genetic diversity in trees is essential for enhancing their resilience to climate change.

✅By conserving this diversity, we ensure that forests can adapt to shifting conditions, support biodiversity, and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable planet.

WATCH THE VIDEO OF THE IMPLEMENTATION WORKSHOPS FROM NOVI SAD AND OSIJEK :)

More than 100 participants attended implementation workshops that were held on 10 and 11 March in Novi Sad and Osijek and organized by the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg VI-A IPA Programme Croatia–Serbia 2021–2027.

✅ The workshops were intended for project partners whose projects were contracted under the 2nd Call for Proposals.
