A NEW FIELD VEHICLE ACQUIRED FOR FOREST RANGERS 🌳🌲

As part of the project REBIOFORESTS, Hrvatske šume took delivery of a new field vehicle. The vehicle was delivered in Vinkovci, in front of the Central Warehouse of the Vinkovci Forest Administration Branch.

✅ The vehicle will help rangers in their job of keeping our forests safe :)

INTERCLIM PROJECT’S FIRST WORKSHOP IN OSIJEK

Recently, a workshop organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek was held at the IT Park in Osijek as part of the INTERCLIM project.

♻ The workshop was dedicated to the following subjects:

1️⃣ The most impactful climate hazards in the region and how to adapt to them;
2️⃣ Measures to improve indoor air quality in buildings;
3️⃣ Good examples of climate change adaptation and resilience in European cities;
4️⃣ Urban flood;
5️⃣ Multifunctional solutions for improving the quality and quantity of greenery.

INTERREG COOPERATION ENABLES INNOVATIVE REHABILITATION PRACTICES FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE

The RE-TREAD project, launched under the first call of the Interreg Croatia–Serbia Programme, is steadily transforming rehabilitation services for elderly people and persons with disabilities in the cross-border region.

▶️ Four institutions are working together: Special Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases Novi Sad, Toplice Lipik – Special Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation Lipik, Special Hospital for Rehabilitation “Junaković” Apatin and the PANORA Development Agency.

▶️ In April 2025, hospitals in Novi Sad and Lipik introduced new equipment that is already making a real difference for patients.

▶️ The INDIBA device in Novi Sad brings advanced radiofrequency therapy, helping to reduce pain and swelling, speed up recovery and improve mobility for people with musculoskeletal conditions.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO CROATIA!

Today, Croatia celebrates the twelfth anniversary of its accession to the European Union—a milestone that capped a decade of reform, modernization, and alignment with European values. Since joining the EU on 1 July 2013, the country has recorded substantial economic and social progress.

✅ GDP per capita has grown from 61% to over 77% of the EU average, rising from 16,100 to 30,500 euro.

✅ Unemployment has dropped dramatically from over 17% to around 4%, while exports and tourism have reached record levels.

✅ The Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia – Serbia 2014-2020 enabled the implementation of 48 EU projects with an investment of 30,9 million euro from the EU funds.

✅ In the 2021-2027 financial period, 34,8 million euro is available from EU funds

ECO(RE)ACT – NEW EQUIPMENT ACQUIRED

Within the ECO(RE)ACT project – Pioneering ecosystem-based microplastics contamination reduction and climate change resilience in the cross-border region – partner institutions, Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek (FAZOS) 🇭🇷 and Educons University, Sremska Kamenica (EDUCONS) 🇷🇸, have successfully acquired the advanced FTIR Lumos II microscope.
