☀️ Powering Healthcare with the Sun!

C2C is excited to share that we’ve installed a complete solar system at our Savanette clinic in Haiti! 💡

Reliable electricity means so much more than keeping the lights on—it allows us to safely store vaccines and medications, power essential lab equipment, and ensure uninterrupted care for our patients.

This milestone represents another step toward building sustainable, resilient healthcare for the communities we serve.

We’re proud of our team for making this possible—and grateful to everyone who supports our mission to bring accessible, high-quality care to northern Haiti. 💙

Our partner hospital, HCBH, uses around 75% less power than an American hospital of the same size.

When faced with a fuel shortage, our team in Haiti rallies together reduce power usage even further across all departments to make the fuel we have last as long as possible. They even wash the existing solar panels to draw as much power as they can.

Every additional hour we can run on solar helps save fuel and reduce the risk of departments having to temporarily close. More solar panels means less fuel needed. ☀️

Through the generosity of the American people, USAID - US Agency for International Development helped Solengy Haiti S.A. raise the capital needed for the local company to make their lease-to-own solar solutions accessible to more consumers in .
Solengy provides solar energy solutions, including leasing options, to households and businesses to help them access much-needed affordable energy. Access to solar power can dramatically improve everyday lives, and enable businesses to expand operations, create jobs, and support inclusive economic growth. To meet this growing demand for solar energy in Haiti, USAID helped Solengy obtain financing from Bamboo Capital Partners and expand their business.
Through USAID, the U.S. government will continue to improve access to capital for local businesses like Solengy, driving development in Haiti.
