Not every “remote” location needs a 12-hour drive, a helicopter, or three days of logistics.

In Bulgaria, you can go from Sofia to forests, waterfalls, mountain peaks or glacial lakes in just a few hours and still end up with landscapes that feel completely untouched on screen.

"If I die, it's my own damn fault.": Beyond Arizona is coming.

Abroad Films' first documentary co-production follows ultratrail runner Gergő Medgyessy into the Sonoran Desert, 300 miles from Superior to Patagonia, the Mexican border. Days at 35°C, nights at -5°C, venomous animals under every rock.
Trailer coming soon.

The National Film Institute Hungary (NFI) has released its latest Made in Hungary showreel, celebrating the international productions that have chosen the country as their filming destination.

The organisation managing Hungary’s film incentive and tax rebate system, NFI has helped position the country as one of Europe’s most active production hubs. Introduced in 2004 and secured until 2030, the incentive continues to attract major global productions and world-class talent.

If you’re planning to film in Hungary, Abroad Films can help you navigate the process with locations, experienced crews, and full production logistics on the ground.

Films featured in the showreel include:
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, The Brutalist, Maria, Atomic Blonde, Black Widow, Blade Runner 2049, Bel Ami, Borderlands, The Debt, Dune I–II, Gemini Man, Hellboy, Nuremberg, The Day of the Jackal, F1: The Movie, Inferno, The Martian, Midsommar, Munich, Poor Things, 47 Ronin, Red Sparrow, Terminator: Dark Fate, Spy.

Civilisations: Rise and Fall.

We had the chance to support and service ’s production here in Hungary, helping recreate the worlds of Rome, Egypt, Japan’s samurai and the Aztecs. The series traces how four mighty civilisations shaped history and what ultimately brought them down.

Watch on BBC Two and iPlayer.
