Summer Vibes at FirstMed Friday! ☀️ Our monthly team gathering was a blast again! We started with a fun quiz testing our medical knowledge, and the youngest nurse, Negin, who leads our First Aid Courses, won! 👑
We also welcomed new summer interns and heard exciting news from our front desk team: 🎓 Tessa, a business student; a medical intern from Dublin helping our nursing team; and a radiology medical assistant for the summer. We wish them all the best at FirstMed and hope they gain valuable, practical experience to support their studies.
From our front desk team, Dorottya has graduated, Jázmin has completed her program, and Panna has started a three-month marketing internship while continuing their role at the front desk, assisting our patients with their appointments. We also celebrated Beatrix, who ran her first quarter marathon. Plus, our Milan clinic is preparing to open soon.

Extreme heat days are approaching; the Nemzeti Népegészségügyi és Gyógyszerészeti Központ (National Centre for Public Health and Pharmacy) has issued a third-degree heat alert, effective Tuesday, June 24.

The upcoming extended heat wave may be physically and mentally challenging for everyone. Protect yourself and your loved ones, especially the elderly, children, and pets.

💧 In hot weather, the body loses water and minerals, so drink even if you're not thirsty. Tap water or mineral water are the best options, but sugar-free fruit or vegetable juice and lukewarm tea are also good. Opt for light, seasonal meals, include more vegetables, and avoid heavy, fatty, and spicy foods.
☀️ Avoid the hot sun and strenuous physical activity during the warmest hours between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Wear light, breathable clothing, sunglasses and apply sunscreen for UV protection.
💨 Ventilate your home early in the morning. Try to spend at least two to three hours in a cool, air-conditioned environment.
🚗 Be careful not to leave children or pets in the car, even briefly, as vehicles can heat up quickly—even in the shade.
🏊 If you're at the beach, don't jump into the water suddenly—gradually cool down first.
💊 Be mindful of your medications, as some are affected by the heat.

FirstMed Adventures - Fabulous time in the heart of the Börzsöny hills with the extended FirstMed Family: our team members, their spouses, and children.
We kicked off the day with a pleasant yet challenging hike to the nearby hilltops, from where we could look around and see half of Hungary. (Köszönjük a túrát, Börzsönyi Hiúzok!) Afterwards, we enjoyed a well-deserved lunch and some fun splashing in the pool at the Szent Orbán Erdei Wellness Hotel és Residence.
In the meantime, we took a moment to celebrate the fathers of the team on Father's Day, with the children presenting a little surprise for their daddies, and not forgetting our team's father, the clinic's founder, Dennis A. Diokno.
It was a wonderful time for our team to connect, get to know each other better, strengthen our relationships, and recharge our energy. Thank you for the lovely day, and hope we will have many more summer parties like this to celebrate together.
