Hungarian Society for Bioinformatics The aim of the Society is to strenghten the bioinformatics research and education in Hungary.

Bioinformatics is a new multidisciplinary area, with research questions taken from mathematics, informatics, biology, pharmacology and medicine. Although Hungarian research is strong both in mathematics and biology, it is not as strong in bioinformatics. The aim of the Society is to strenghten the bioinformatics research in Hungary by making a bridge between mathematician, computer scientists and biologists, pharmacologists. The Society has been organizing seminars, meetings, conferences and actively participates in bioinformatics education in Hungary.
