📍EIT Health Summit in Stockholm, Sweden

We were one of the few lucky startups to participate in one of the best health ecosystem conferences in Europe!

Needless to say, we didn’t waste any time, and spent every minute of it with hospital meetings, plenary talks, interviews and meeting awesome ecosystem players from Sweden, Benelux, France, Israel, Spain, Poland and more.

This week Entremo had the honor of being invited by Dita Charanzová, Vice-President of the European Parliament, and Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Innovation, to join a panel discussion on “Innovation and Youth: Defining a European Approach” alongside other EU entrepreneurs Peter Vesterbacka, Dita Formánková and Emilio Corchado.

The purpose of the event was to bring EU policy making and the practical side of entrepreneurship closer together so that a new generation of youth will have better opportunities to serve as the backbone of future innovation.

Some of the key points raised:
- More accessible and flexible EU funding for startups and R&D projects
- Dedicated education about entrepreneurship and innovation on high school/university level
- Talent concentration to boost knowledge sharing, creativity and network

Hope we will have many more opportunities to voice our experiences to policy makers, there’s a lot of work to be done and keep in mind: 2022 is the European Year of Youth!

Last week we had the pleasure of showcasing our innovation to Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

She has followed our journey from its inception, ever since we won the EUvsVirus Healthcare category. So it was especially rewarding to be able to finally present Entremo to her in person as well, she even put on our device to measure her SpO2 and heart rate.

Huge thanks to EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology for inviting us to be one of the four initiatives to be presented to the Commissioner, displaying the power of the EIT ecosystem. We are deeply rooted in the network and benefit from the perks daily: office space in the EIT Digital Budapest CLC, participating in EIT Health InnoStars workshops, keynotes at conferences, international expert pool, mentoring new MSc students, and the list goes on.
