Our program roots in local wisdom called Tri Hita Karana, three pilar of harmonious living, including show kindness toward animal & nature.

In Bali, dogs are more than animals, they are part of the unseen fabric of daily life, quietly walking beside tradition, ceremony, and home.

Balinese local dogs have lived for generations, in Balinese Hindu tradition they are believe as incarnation of Lord Dharma. They guard temples, accompany offerings, and stay close to family compounds, not as possessions, but as companions sharing the same space of life.

Yet, not all of them are treated with the care they deserve. Many roam freely, navigating a world that doesn’t always protect them. Behind their quiet presence, there are stories of survival, resilience, and often, neglect.

Still, their loyalty remains unchanged.

At Bali Yoga House, our mission is yoga with purpose, we believe on compassion is a practice, not only on the mat, but in how we relate to every living being around us. Rooted in Tri Hita Karana, we are reminded that true harmony includes the animals who share our environment.

May we learn from their loyalty.
May we soften our hearts.
May we choose kindness, again and again.

Because a compassionate world begins with how we treat the most voiceless among us 🤍🐕🐶🦮🐾🦴

in the Balinese worldview:

Yoga is not only practiced.
Yoga is lived.

It appears in:
• offerings
• prayer
• dance
• rituals
• harmony with nature
• community service

Many Balinese may never call themselves “yogi,” yet their daily life reflects the deeper principles of yoga.

Not everything needs an answer
Sometimes you just need a reset

Sad → Take a walk
Walking helps regulate emotions and can reduce rumination. Gentle movement helps feelings move instead of staying stuck.

Demotivated → Music
Music can stimulate dopamine, the motivation chemical. It helps shift your state without needing effort first.

Low energy → Sunlight + drink water
Sunlight helps regulate your body clock and boosts alertness. Hydration supports circulation and brain function.

Stress → Yoga
Slow movement and breathing activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping the body relax.

Tired → Sleep
Real rest restores the brain and body. Sometimes tiredness isn’t mental — it’s physical.

Overthinking → Journaling
Writing helps move thoughts out of your head and reduces mental looping.

Depressed → Go to nature
Nature exposure has been shown to reduce stress hormones and improve mood.

Restless → Yoga Nidra
Deep guided rest helps calm the nervous system and release tension.

Unfocused → Pranayama
Breathing practices improve oxygen flow and help train attention.

Confused → Meditate / quiet time
Clarity often comes from stillness, not more thinking.

Stuck → Shower
Water and temperature change can help reset your physical and mental state.

Bored → Dance
Movement and rhythm stimulate the brain and increase energy.

Lonely → Cuddle a pet
Physical touch can release oxytocin, which helps reduce feelings of isolation.

Disconnected → Earthing
Touching natural ground can help bring awareness back to the body and senses.

Yoga is personal but it is never isolated.

In shared spaces, our awareness becomes part of everyone’s experience.

Small gestures of respect create safety, depth, and trust inside the room 🍀

In Balinese tradition, grounding is not a trend, it is a way of living.

During bhakti or we often call it "mebhakti"(prayer), the body lowers to the earth. Women often sit in Bajrasana, men in Padmasana/Silasana, directly on the ground. This posture reflects humility and connection to Ibu Pertivi (Mother Earth).

This embodies Tri Hita Karana, harmony between human, nature, and the divine. The body touches the earth, the spine rises upright, and the breath becomes steady.

Prayer also includes flowers of different colors, symbolizing balance in the universe through Dewata Nawa Sanga. Each color represents direction and quality: purity, strength, wisdom, harmony. The ritual is both symbolic and sensory.

Scientifically, seated posture and slow nasal breathing support nervous system regulation. Color focus and repetitive gestures enhance attention and emotional stability. Contact with natural ground may also support physiological balance, as explored in emerging grounding research.

For generations, this was not called “grounding or earthing practice.” It was simply prayer, close to earth, close to breath, close to gratitude.🌿

Just because we practice yoga
doesn’t mean we are always grounded, peaceful, or mentally perfect.

Sometimes we come from chaos. Confusion.
From noise. From survival mode.

And we choose to move and show up.

That, too, is yoga. 🤍

Kundalini is a term used in yogic philosophy to describe the human capacity to become more aware and conscious. 🍃

The word comes from kundala, meaning coiled or circular.
This refers to awareness often being contracted or inactive, much like a spring that has not yet been released.🌸

In yogic language, Kundalini is symbolically described as resting at the base of the spine, connected to the nervous system and breath. This does not mean a literal energy or serpent, but a way to explain how awareness can move from tension and survival toward clarity and presence.

Stress, unconscious habits, shallow breathing, and lack of body awareness can keep this awareness limited. Practices such as ethical living, compassion, meditation, breath awareness, mantra, mudra, and yoga asana help support balance and sensitivity in the body and mind.

Kundalini is not something humans force, activate, or awaken.
It is not a goal, not a promise, and not a sign of spiritual status.

Traditionally, Kundalini is understood to unfold naturally over time as a result of maturity, self-awareness, responsibility, and consistent practice — not through short trainings or marketing claims.

In the past, these teachings were shared quietly and carefully, with respect for readiness and integration. The emphasis was always on clarity of life, ethical conduct, and compassion, rather than extraordinary experiences.
