In Bali, dogs are more than animals, they are part of the unseen fabric of daily life, quietly walking beside tradition, ceremony, and home.
Balinese local dogs have lived for generations, in Balinese Hindu tradition they are believe as incarnation of Lord Dharma. They guard temples, accompany offerings, and stay close to family compounds, not as possessions, but as companions sharing the same space of life.
Yet, not all of them are treated with the care they deserve. Many roam freely, navigating a world that doesn’t always protect them. Behind their quiet presence, there are stories of survival, resilience, and often, neglect.
Still, their loyalty remains unchanged.
At Bali Yoga House, our mission is yoga with purpose, we believe on compassion is a practice, not only on the mat, but in how we relate to every living being around us. Rooted in Tri Hita Karana, we are reminded that true harmony includes the animals who share our environment.
May we learn from their loyalty.
May we soften our hearts.
May we choose kindness, again and again.
Because a compassionate world begins with how we treat the most voiceless among us 🤍🐕🐶🦮🐾🦴
