Did you know…
Your hands carry direct pathways to your brain, nervous system, and emotions?

In yoga, we call these sacred hand gestures Mudra
a subtle yet powerful practice used for thousands of years to influence energy, focus, and healing.

✨ Mudra is not decoration.
✨ Mudra is not a trend.
✨ Mudra is ancient technology for the human body & mind.

🌬️ How Mudra Works

Each finger represents one of the five elements:
• Thumb – Fire (Agni)
• Index – Air (Vayu)
• Middle – Space (Akasha)
• Ring – Earth (Prithvi)
• Little – Water (Jala)

When you touch, press, or relax certain fingers,
you are communicating with your nervous system,
balancing the elements inside your body, not outside.

According to Ayurveda, every human body is made of three energies called Dosha: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Most of us are a combination of these three, but usually one or two are dominant.

Understanding your dosha helps you choose the right food, lifestyle, and self-care for balance 🌿

🌬 VATA (Air + Space)

Characteristics:
• Thin or light body frame
• Creative, energetic, fast-thinking
• Easily anxious, overthinking
• Cold hands & feet
• Irregular appetite & digestion

Best Food for Vata (Grounding & Warming):
🥣 Warm, cooked meals
🍚 Rice, oats, quinoa
🥑 Healthy fats (ghee, olive oil, avocado)
🍠 Sweet fruits & root vegetables
🫖 Warm herbal teas, ginger tea

❌ Avoid: cold food, raw salads, excessive coffee

🔥 PITTA (Fire + Water)

Characteristics:
• Medium build, strong metabolism
• Focused, ambitious, intelligent
• Easily irritated or impatient
• Sensitive to heat
• Strong hunger & digestion

Best Food for Pitta (Cooling & Calming):
🥒 Cooling vegetables (cucumber, leafy greens)
🍉 Sweet fruits (melon, pear, mango)
🥥 Coconut water & coconut-based food
🌾 Rice, wheat, oats
🫖 Mint or fennel tea

❌ Avoid: spicy, fried, very salty food & alcohol

🌱 KAPHA (Earth + Water)

Characteristics:
• Strong, solid body structure
• Calm, loving, patient nature
• Slow digestion & metabolism
• Easily gain weight
• Tend to feel heavy or sleepy

Best Food for Kapha (Light & Stimulating):
🥗 Light, warm, well-spiced meals
🥦 Steamed vegetables
🍎 Apples, berries
🌶 Spices like ginger, turmeric, black pepper

❌ Avoid: heavy, oily, sugary & dairy-rich foods

Dengan penuh kasih, kami dari Wellness Yoga School memperkenalkan salah satu dari lima program inisiatif kami: Animal Welfare. Hari ini, kami secara resmi menunjuk Pondok Aswatama Shelter di Gianyar sebagai Animal Welfare Partner kami.

💚 Tugas & Peran Kami
1. Management & Campaign Support
Mengadakan fundraising yoga class, membantu rekrutmen relawan, dan memberikan dukungan administrasi.
2. Shelter Promotion
Menyuarakan perjuangan Pondok Aswatama melalui seluruh kanal kami — website, media sosial, dan newsletter.
3. Education & Awareness Advocacy
Mengintegrasikan nilai kasih sayang terhadap hewan dalam program retreat, pelatihan guru yoga, dan workshop kami.

🐾 Tentang Pondok Aswatama

Pondok Aswatama adalah tempat perlindungan bagi anjing dan kucing yang dibuang atau disiksa di Bali. Shelter ini berdiri atas inisiatif luar biasa dari seorang remaja bernama Anak Agung Dewi Pertiwi, yang dengan hati mulia membuka rumah dan halamannya untuk puluhan hewan yang membutuhkan kasih sayang dan tempat bernaung.

Bali dikenal sebagai p**au spiritual dengan tradisi persembahyangan yang kuat. Namun, harmoni sejati terwujud saat bakti spiritual disertai dengan tindakan nyata.
Jika persembahyangan adalah bentuk bhakti yoga, maka kasih sayang dan tindakan nyata terhadap binatang adalah karma yoga, bagian dari filosofi Bali: Tri Hita Karana; harmoni antara manusia, alam, dan Tuhan.

Bagi yang memiliki waktu atau rezeki lebih, mari ngiring melali (bermain) ke Pondok Aswatama Gianyar. Hanya beberapa jam untuk bermain atau donasi Rp5.000–10.000 pun sudah cukup untuk membuat anak-anak ini tersenyum bahagia 💚🦮
