What if procrastination — or that feeling of not wanting to do anything — wasn’t a lack of willpower…
But your system’s silent cry: “Stop. Deal with what’s blocked first.”
What you don’t digest stays within you… and runs your life without you even knowing it.
I realize that the essence of my previous post may not have been clear.
A mental state or an emotion is never there by mistake or by chance.Never believe that “it’s just your personality.”It’s a reaction from your system, a response from your Being, telling you that a life experience has touched you.If you don’t take the time to process it, it stays inside you, hidden.
Now that I’ve been able to realize and bring this into awareness, I can share with you the inner story my Being was living, hidden from my conscious mind.Let me try to translate what happened within me:
It all began with significant life experiences that touched me deeply. But, as life and daily obligations tend to be, there was the pressure to move on, to keep going, to meet responsibilities. So these experiences and their impact on me were set aside, swept under the rug, forgotten from my conscious mind. But in truth, nothing had disappeared — only been hidden and forgotten.
Then, at some point, something reactivates them.It may seem trivial, but it’s actually a catalyst — for example, in this case, the three hours spent at the hospital for an ultrasound.
After that, a sense of unease began to grow.Without being able to understand it or pinpoint its origin. It could have lingered for a long time, even growing, or eventually dimming my inner light.
A movement in the physical world — in this case, the yoga practice I did the next day — shifted that imprint, created space, and allowed an emotion (in this case, sadness) to be released. This emotion and its many causes could then be brought into awareness, first in meditation, then in an open and heartfelt conversation with my best friend — my husband, with his keen and attentive ear.
So, isn’t that sometimes what procrastination and lack of motivation are?An inner system that refuses to move forward until you’ve taken the time to sit with, feel, and process what’s blocked?
I invite you to ask yourself:Do you do the same? And what are, for you, the consequences — conscious or unconscious? What is the emotion and the story still blocked inside you that keeps you from feeling free and light?
