Friday Blessings ❤️

Today was a special day at the Kolewa Kitchen. The meal boxes were lovingly prepared by our friends from the Netherlands, Bram & Rinnie de Groot-Blom from Project Namaste, together with their friends.

Filled with laughter, warmth, and kindness, every meal was cooked with love and personally distributed to street vendors, parking attendants, and others working hard to earn a living.

A simple act of sharing can bring hope, smiles, and happiness to many. 🙏

Hello everyone, after having her surgery postponed twice due to digestive issues caused by a cow’s milk allergy, as well as cough and cold symptoms, Anisah finally had her surgery today. ❤️

A huge thank you to Project Namaste, the doctors, sponsors, and everyone who supported her journey. After spending nearly a month at Yayasan Kolewa, this long-awaited day has finally arrived.

A big thank you to Bram and Rinnie from Project Namaste, together with their friends, for visiting us today and surprising us with an incredible donation that will help fund surgeries for 7–8 children 💛
Together with our staff, Ana and Uttari, they also went shopping for daily necessities such as vegetables, groceries, soap, diapers, milk, rice, and many other essential needs for our children and patient families 🛍️🌸
Back at Kolewa, we shared a delicious lunch made with love by Heldi and the amazing staff team 🍲✨
They also surprised the children and patient companions with many thoughtful gifts and joyful moments 🎁😊
It was truly such a special day filled with kindness, love, and hope.

Van collectezak naar één tik op de telefoon… en een wereld van verschil
Regelmatige kerkbezoekers kennen het inmiddels wel: geen munten of briefjes meer in de collectezak, maar geven via de GIVT-app. In veel kerken zijn er daarbij twee collectes: één voor de diaconie en één voor een goed doel. Zo ook onlangs in de Oudshoornse kerk in Alphen aan den Rijn. Tijdens deze collecte mocht Stichting Kolewa het goede doel zijn. En eerlijk is eerlijk… in de wandelgangen hebben we al gehoord dat ons een prachtige opbrengst is gegund. Dat maakt ons dankbaar.
En er is nóg mooi nieuws!
Stichting Kolewa heeft zich inmiddels als NGO aangesloten bij GIVT. Doneren wordt daarmee nog eenvoudiger. Open de app, typ Stichting Kolewa in en daar verschijnen we al. Kies een bedrag en u helpt direct mee om medische zorg, opvang en perspectief mogelijk te maken voor kinderen en families in Indonesië.
Wat zou het geweldig zijn als Stichting Kolewa op nog meer collecteroosters in Nederland een plek mag krijgen.
Bent u lid van een kerk in uw stad of dorp én een vriend of vriendin van Kolewa? Kaart het eens aan. Vertel over het werk dat wij samen mogelijk maken voor kinderen met een medische hulpvraag, over opvang, herstel en hoop voor gezinnen die vaak geen andere uitweg zien.
Want uiteindelijk gaat geven niet alleen over geld. Het gaat over omzien naar elkaar. Over delen van wat we ontvangen hebben. Over samen een lichtje zijn in de duisternis voor families die leven met zorgen en armoede.
