π₯π₯ Our amazing Volunteer Nippers Team member ππ«ππ πππ¬πππ«π¬ is πππππ§ππ‘π ππ’π₯ πππ¦ ππππ in hospital right now! β¨β¨Brad has been in hospital since Christmas Day.
He was placed in an induced coma after facing two major neck operations due to an infection. He remains in intensive care, heavily sedated and on a ventilator, due to his inability to breathe unaided and several other major life threatening complications.
The financial stress on Bradβs family is enormous due to the insurance company rejecting the claim. Apparently it is one of the few infections not covered under the policy. Evacuating Brad back to Australia is not possible because this is beyond the financial capacity of the family. Due to the covid pandemic restrictions they are unable to be by his side, which is difficult for any family or friends to support him, as he is in permanent isolation.β¨β¨
Bradβs family has started to raise money to cover further medical treatment and associated costs. If you would like to donate no matter how big or small his family and the Nippers team will be eternally grateful. ππ»ππ»ππ»
