Twist

This pose looks simple, but it will squeeze/stimulates all internal organs and thousands spinal nerves ending.

Hold this pose for 10 deep breaths for each sides. When you do both sides, that counts as 1 set. Do 1-2 sets before you sleep and right after you wake up.

For healing movement, do 10 sets of this movement.

As a challenge, make sure these four points touches the mattress: knee, feet, and shoulders.

(Nánguā zǐ / Pumpkin Seeds/ Cucurbitaceae Moschatae Semen)

The TCM herb "nan gua zi" which in english is "pumpkin seeds", has neutral (ping) temperature and sweet (gan) taste. It is categorized within the "herbs that expel parasites" functional grouping. It is thought to enter the large intestine, stomach, and spleen meridians.

Of many possible clinical applications, it may be considered to influence the following issues/symptoms:

Expels parasites, alleviates pain - tapeworms, roundworms, schistosomiasis.

Benefits post partum fluid metabolism - post partum hand and feet swelling, aids in insufficient lactation.

Also Used For:
Orally used for dysuria secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), bladder irritation, treating intestinal worms, and treating pyelonephritis. In combination, pumpkin is used in an herbal combination to treat symptoms of BPH.
