Happy Galungan to all our Balinese friends and family!

Rahajeng Rahina Galungan lan Kuningan, semeton sareng sami! ✨

Galungan celebrates the victory of dharma (good) over adharma (evil) and is a time for family gatherings, prayers, and reflection. Homes are adorned with penjor, prayers are offered, and hearts are united in harmony.

May this Galungan bring you joy, love, a heart full of peace, and connection to you and your loved ones. 🙏🏻

How are you celebrating today?

"The simpler the exercise, the more your mind's going to go crazy—that's why meditation is difficult for some people.

You sit and meditate, your mind just goes crazy because you're not doing anything. You're sitting there, inside your own thoughts. And so the idea of course, in meditation, is to get the mind to stop, to have a break, to have a gap between two thoughts and experience the gap.

Qi Gong’s the same thing, of course—it’s just done mobile. But the idea is we’re observing.”

Do you want to learn how to emotionally grow?

“To emotionally grow… you need to feel emotions.

Some of them aren’t fun. Some have been seen as negative. But in Chinese medicine, emotions are energy, not wrong or right.

Anger, sadness, fear, rage, they’re all palpable energy you feel in the body.

✨ The key isn’t to avoid them.
It’s to feel them without judgment. That’s what makes you alive.

⚠️ The only issue?
When you feel emotions all the time, sadness all the time, anger all the time, that’s when Chinese Medicine see it as a dysfunction.”

Easy Ways to Relieve Chronic Stress ☯️

Using Traditional Chinese Medicine, here are 3 powerful acupressure points you can practice daily:
1. Hegu (LI4): Between the thumb and index finger. Massage in small clockwise circles. Calms the mind and alleviates friction inside the head.
2. Shen Men (HT7): On the outer crease of the wrist. Heart 7. Gently massage with clockwise circles.
3. Neiguan (PC6): Two fingers down from the wrist crease, between the two tendons. Massage in clockwise circles to ease stress from the body.

Practice these every day and you’ll feel fantastic.

As part of our Qi Gong Teacher Training in Bali, we visit one of the island’s sacred water temples to take part in the Balinese water purification ritual, known as 'melukat'.

This ritual is a traditional way of releasing old grief, stagnant emotions, and the heaviness we quietly carry through life.

Many of our students describe this experience as one of the most transformative moments of their training. In the safety of the ritual, people often find themselves letting go in ways they didn’t expect: tears, shaking, screaming, deep releases - and emerging from the water feeling lighter, clearer, and more open.

It’s a moment that stays with them long after they leave Bali: a reset. A softening. A return to themselves.

If you feel called to experience this kind of release and renewal, we’d love to welcome you to our Level 1 Qi Gong Teacher Training in Ubud, Bali.

During every Qi Gong Teacher Training in Bali, we take our students on a special excursion inspired by the Wood Element: a visit to the ancient Monkey Forest in Sangeh, guided by a Balinese priest.

In the stillness of the deep forest, each student spends time connecting with a tree they feel drawn to, learning to sense the living energy of wood and to listen to the quiet messages that nature offers.

For many, this experience becomes a turning point. They describe feeling a new kind of connection - a realization that communication with nature is not only possible, but profoundly real. These moments often shift how they see themselves, the world, and the flow of life itself.

If you’d like to experience this depth of connection and insight for yourself, join our upcoming Level 1 Qi Gong Teacher Training in Ubud, Bali.

Today is Josephine’s and my wedding anniversary. As I reflect on this special day, I’m reminded of the beauty and joy of the moment when Josephine and I were married. I remember the laughter, the celebration, and being surrounded by our family and friends who came together to share that wonderful day with us.

Looking back now, I think of some of those dear people who are no longer with us in this world, and I see how time has moved on. The children who once danced and played at our wedding are now grown. Time changes everything so quickly, and yet, some things remain constant.

For me, that constant has always been my love and care for Josephine. After more than twenty years together, my love for her continues to grow each year. We’re in this for the long haul, learning what it truly means to share a connection and an expression of love on the deepest level.

It’s a love without fear, no fear of rejection, no fear of loss, no fear of being truly seen. It’s the freedom to love completely and without holding anything back. I feel incredibly blessed to have that experience in my life.

So on this anniversary, I celebrate not only our marriage, but the journey we’ve shared and the beautiful life we’ve created together with our son, Rayner. With all my heart, I send love to my wife, my partner, and my best friend, Josephine. ❤️
