While 300 million tons of plastic is put into circulation every year, 85% of that plastic is not recycled. What goes to the landfill rarely stays there - as much as 80% of trash in the ocean got there from the land, and 90% of that is plastic.
🌏If we all cut down plastic consumption, then we would be well on our way to solving this problem! We want to help spread information to create solutions that reduce high consumption of non-biodegrable materials. Which is why we LOVE bamboo cutlery!
🌱It’s one of the best ways to replace plastic on our daily lives. Bamboo is a wonder solution to a whole mess of problems caused by plastics and other non-biodegradable materials.
🍴 If you care for your bamboo cutlery, they will be by your side for the long run. Bamboo cutlery is nontoxic and naturally antibacterial! This means that bamboo utensils are actively working to keep you healthier
♻️Once your cutlery has reached the end of their lifespan, you can simply compost them! It depends on the exact conditions, but most bamboo cutlery decomposes completely in less than 3 months. How cool is that?

🙏🏼Bamboo is a truly important element of the Balinese culture! Swipe to find out why! ✨

🌱The Balinese will always need it for one reason or the other! we love planting it because if farmers have this crop on their land, they don’t need to spend money to buy bamboo anymore

How can bamboo provide economy benefits in challenging situations?
🌱Just as it helps grow the vegetation, bamboo can help to develop small-scale micro-economies as well
✨The villages that we work with live in poverty, partly because of the lack of vegetation due to extreme dryness in the land. Fortunately bamboo grows really fast and then it generates a crop to be harvested every year! In this way, farmers are able to sell bamboo either as poles or in the form of handicrafts as well as maintaining their traditions and skills

The right for rural communities worldwide to use their traditional knowledge and make a living in harmony with nature is a Basic Human Right
🌏Human matters and environmental matters are not separate, it’s all one! Indigenous communities caring for forests is so important to address climate change. They manage almost a quarter of the planet's lands, which means they’re responsible for 80% of Earth’s biodiversity
🌱Indigenous and local communities are the best protectors of green areas and have nature’s best interest at heart. It’s our responsibility to actively support them so they can be able to maintain their lands and take care of them
