aka Ashram Gandhi Çanti Dasa - A fully functioning Gandhian Ashram which provides bungalow style accommodation with meals for paying guests.

This helps finance its Gandhian services which in turn benefit the ashram members and local community. Gedong Gandhi Ashram is a Gandhian Ashram based at Candidasa, Karangasem, Bali, Indonesia (pronounced chun-dee-does-ah), and has been around since 1976 when the Ashram was founded by the late Ibu or Mrs. Gedong Bagoes Oka (1921 - 2002). Full paying guests accommodation starting at around USD 30 per night but please check the website for details. Sometimes a volunteer position charged at IDR 100,000 per night is available, requiring writing to the ashram well in advance of arrival.

We deliver important social services for the disadvantaged community with the help of like-minded and passionate individuals. We are currently looking for both short and long term volunteers to provide classes to ashram members as well as guests. We are offering a unique opportunity to engage with the local Balinese culture and help make a difference.
