Quick Bali Belly prevention tips 🩺🧑‍⚕️

Most cases we see come down to contaminated food or water, especially during the first few days while your gut adjusts. A few simple habits can make a big difference:

• Drink sealed bottled water only (including for brushing teeth)

• Be picky with food — busy places with high turnover are safest

• Avoid raw or undercooked foods if you’ve got a sensitive stomach

• Wash hands or use sanitiser before eating

• Consider probiotics before and during your trip

If symptoms do hit — persistent vomiting, diarrhoea, cramps, fever — don’t try to push through it. Early treatment can shorten recovery a lot.

We’re a local medical team offering clinic visits and hotel call-outs across South Bali, often same day.

Knowing when to seek medical attention can make all the difference—especially while traveling in Bali.

Mild stomach upset can sometimes settle with rest, hydration, and simple medications. However, it’s important to seek medical care if you experience:
• Persistent diarrhea lasting more than 24–48 hours
• Fever, severe abdominal pain, or vomiting
• Signs of dehydration (dizziness, dry mouth, low urine output)
• Blood or mucus in stool

Early assessment helps prevent complications and ensures you receive the right treatment quickly.

💧 Hydration matters more than you think — especially in Bali.

Heat, humidity, travel, and long days outdoors can quickly lead to dehydration, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Staying well-hydrated helps support digestion, energy levels, and overall recovery while travelling.

Simple tips:
• Drink water regularly throughout the day
• Add electrolytes if you’re sweating more than usual
• Don’t wait until you feel dizzy or fatigued

If you’re feeling unwell or struggling to recover, our doctors are available for clinic visits and doctor call-outs across South Bali.
