To help keep the mountain beautiful and make sure everyone has a good experience, we kindly ask that you think carefully about what you bring with you.

Please avoid bringing items that could turn into trash or harm the environment. That includes single-use toiletries like shampoo, soap, and lotion in plastic bottles or sachets—these often end up littering the trail. Taking care of the mountain is a shared responsibility, and cutting down on unnecessary waste is a big part of that.

Also, please leave behind anything that might disturb other visitors’ peace and quiet, like speakers or other music devices. Most people come to the mountain to enjoy nature, reflect, and unwind—not to hear loud noises. Let’s keep it that way.

Drones are not allowed unless you’ve gotten official permission beforehand. This rule helps protect everyone’s privacy and safety, as well as the natural surroundings.

Just so you know, National Park officers may confiscate prohibited items at certain checkpoints, especially at Post 2. Getting those items back can be a long and complicated process.

By following these simple guidelines, you’ll be doing your part to protect the environment, keep the trails clean, and help make sure everyone has a safe, peaceful trek.

Thanks for being a responsible traveler and for your cooperation.

The 2026 trekking season officially opened on April 1st. Currently, all trekking gates are operating normally. However, for those planning to hike in the near future, there are several important weather-related factors to consider.

Current Weather Conditions
According to BMKG monitoring, the West Nusa Tenggara region is currently experiencing extreme weather in early April. Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast to continue at least until mid-month.

On Lombok itself, the weather tends to be unpredictable: bright and sunny in the morning, but turning to rain in the afternoon until late afternoon.

Is It Still Safe to Trek Mount Rinjani?
To date, the Mount Rinjani National Park Authority (TNGR) has not issued any special warnings. Trekking continues to operate normally and is still considered safe via official routes.

Reports from the Rinjani Trekking Center team on the ground indicate the following weather pattern:

Morning: Generally sunny. Trekkers can still enjoy clear sunrise and summit views.
Afternoon: Light to moderate rain begins, typically when trekkers are on the trail between Post 2 and the campsite (on both the Sembalun and Senaru routes).
Evening & Night: Upon arrival at the campsite, the rain usually subsides, but conditions tend to be foggy, so sunset views may be partially obscured.

Preparation Tips for Trekkers
To keep your journey comfortable even in wet conditions, ensure the following are ready:

Proper Footwear: Use mountain boots with good grip, as trails will be slipperier than usual.
Logistics & Clothing Management: A raincoat is mandatory. Make sure all spare clothes are wrapped in plastic or a dry bag inside your backpack to keep them dry even during heavy rain.
Be Aware of Cold Temperatures: Campsite temperatures at night range from 10–12°C. However, for those summiting to the peak, temperatures can drop sharply to 4°C. Ensure your jacket and warm gear are adequate.
Follow Directions: Always follow the instructions of your guide during the journey.
Before departure, it is highly recommended to monitor the latest weather forecasts through our official page. Make sure your physical condition and gear are in top shape.

Great news for all nature lovers and trekkers! Starting today, April 1, 2026, Rinjani National Park is officially open to the public once again.

This reopening follows the announcement made back on March 6, after a period of closure dedicated to ecosystem recovery and upgrading safety standards.

With the trails now open, there is a new requirement for all hikers: premium insurance is mandatory. This coverage must specifically include mountain trekking activities and emergency helicopter evacuation. This policy has been put in place to ensure everyone has better protection and support while out on the trails.

A Gentle Reminder. As we welcome you back, we ask every hiker to help preserve this natural wonder. Please follow all regulations, carry your trash back down, and show respect for the environment.

Welcome back to Rinjani. It’s time to explore again—this time, with even more care and responsibility.

Mount Rinjani will officially reopen on April 1st, 2026. While some international flights are currently affected, trekking operations are scheduled to run normally, with flexible reschedule options available for all guests.

There are no safety concerns on Mount Rinjani or Lombok itself. The destination remains safe and ready for trekking activities once the season reopens.

Current travel concerns are related to international flight disruptions in certain regions, not the destination.

To support our guests during this uncertain period, we offer flexible booking options:

Postpone your trekking date.

Keep your booking as an open date.

Reschedule anytime until December 2027.

This allows you to plan your trip with confidence and peace of mind.
