Harapan Baru Lombok Indonesia (HBLI) and Bale Langgaq officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as part of our shared commitment to community empowerment, youth participation, and sustainable social development in Lombok.
Several years ago, HBLI worked together with local youth to establish an ecobrick building as a community-led initiative promoting environmental awareness, collaboration, and local participation. Since its construction, the space has continued to serve as a symbol of collective effort and community ownership.
Through this agreement, the ecobrick building will now become the operational space of Yayasan Bale Langgaq and will be fully managed by the local organization and community members themselves. HBLI will continue to provide support and assistance where needed, while the responsibility for management, development, and future activities will be led by Bale Langgaq.
This partnership reflects our belief that long-term impact is created when local communities are trusted, strengthened, and given the opportunity to lead their own initiatives independently.
We appreciate the dedication of all community members, youth volunteers, and partners who have contributed to this journey, and we look forward to continuing this collaboration for the benefit of the wider community.
