Every 6 months in Bali, the streets transform; tall bamboo poles rise, swaying gently with the wind. These are penjor, and they mark Galungan: the celebration of balance restored between light and darkness.

A penjor isn’t just decoration.
It’s a prayer.
A symbol of gratitude for the earth’s abundance: rice, coconut, leaves, flowers; all woven into one offering to honor the Divine.

During Galungan, families visit temples, make offerings, and remember the presence of their ancestors who return home to bless the living. It’s a reminder that life is sacred and that beauty can also be devotion.
