A 13 year old today is dealing with more nervous system stress before 9am than most adults dealt with in a full day 20 years ago.
They wake up and immediately check their phone. They’ve already seen something that’s made them feel inadequate, anxious, or left out before they’ve even had breakfast. They go to school carrying that. Then add academic pressure, social comparison, friendship fallouts that now play out publicly online for everyone to watch, and the constant low hum of not feeling like enough.
Their nervous system doesn’t get a break. Ever.
And nobody’s teaching them what to do with that.
No one’s showing them how to actually come down from it. How to recognise when they’re dysregulated. How to do something about it other than just push through or shut down.
The honest answer to that isn’t more assemblies about mental health.
It’s actually teaching them how to regulate.
Not talking about their feelings. Not a poster on a wall. A real, physical skill, the same way you’d teach them maths or how to kick a ball.
That’s what breathwork is. It’s not spiritual. It’s not a trend. It’s just using your breath in a specific way to tell your nervous system it’s safe to come down.
The problem is nobody’s teaching it in schools.
So we built something that does.
It’s an 8 week programme. Students learn the tools for regulation and as part of that, they put headphones on and go through a guided 9D breathwork journey, layered with music and audio designed to actually shift their state. Not just talk about it. Feel it.
We piloted this across 7 UK schools. Anxiety came down. Attendance went up. Teachers saw it. Now we’re rolling out to more schools.
Most adults who find breathwork say the same thing. I wish I’d had this younger.
We’re trying to make sure the next generation doesn’t have to wait. 🖤
