My yoga practice begin at my first pregnancy, 16 years ago, and this picture was the second one 11 years ago-today.
That was learning and practice non attachment. Having to feel a baby’s growing inside me, then deliver and detach at birth, and a work in progress of guiding them through their growth, and on.
Sometimes I’m with them, sometimes I’m not. And I know that I’m their home and they’re my home. A home that is not a four walls, a home that we can return to each other♥️ We’re connected, and continue practice non attachment.
In yoga, I learn about connection. External and Internal. My breath, my skeletal system, my connective tissue (not attachment tissue 😁), motion, stillness, flow with myself.
This yoga posture is called natarajasana. For me it’s about challenging my comfort zone by overcoming the fears.
Practice to find balance through any support around you, even your own foot. There’s softness when you lean forward, strength and grounding when you’re standing with one leg. You connect yourself with the ground and the sky, and you’re in the middle.
Natarajasana (in sanskrit) comprises three root terms that signify the posture. Here, “nata” means “dancer, “raja” is “king” or “lord”, and “asana” refers to “pose”.
