SURAVI

SUR - Suresh
A - Ayurveda
VI - Vivienne

In Sanscrit the word Suravi means sun, which represents vitality, energy and strength. The colors of the logo represent the five elements, as well as the colours of Ayurveda. You will find the S for Suresh and the V for Vivienne hidden in the shapes. Suresh Probhakaran and Vivienne Duebbert are the founders of Suravi and have put their heart and sou

l into their project as much as they are embedded in the logo. Suravi is a unique and special spa concept, which offers a vast variety of treatments based on Ayurveda, other Asian principles and Kalaripayattu (the Martial Arts from South of India, Kerala). Kalaripayattu includes many techniques focussing on the 108 Marmas we have in our body, learning how to treat them properly in order to release tension and increase energy. Additionally, we are most famous for our Chakra Massages, which open the chakras and release stress and accumulated emotions:

“We all know the feeling of having a ‘”heavy heart” – we can feel a “broken heart”, even though it is not physically broken (Heart Chakra). When we are afraid and shocked or very angry, we first feel it in our stomach area, “listening to our gut” (Solarplexus Chakra). And when we are intimidated, we often tend to “loose our voice” (Throat Chakra). All these are examples of how our chakras get influenced, blocking the energy flow. It is our goal to work closely with our clients, offering them a relaxing Ayurvedic treatment to recharge their energy in order to manage the daily challenges and release stress. But you cannot learn to have a certain energy and sensibility, which is necessary for an effective treatment, designed to not only release tension in the body, but also to touch the soul of the person, as a first step to accelerate the healing process,” says Vivienne. Besides our Chakra and Marma Massages, we offer classical Ayurvedic treatments such as Abyanga and Shirodhara (amongst others), Balinese Massage, Reflexology as well as Yoga, Meditation and teachings in Kalaripayattu. Besides the treatments our main focus is to consult each client individually and keep a strong relationship and follow-up, in order to give assistance and life coaching for a long lasting well being. At Suravi Spa we believe in consulting each client individually, by making sure we see the human as whole, therefore not only treating physical pains but also touching the mind and soul in order to promote healing.
