How the Face Ages

Aging isn’t just “a few fine lines around the eyes.”
It’s a full-blown team effort — and unfortunately, the team is not working in your favor.
We’ve got skin, fat, muscles, and even bones joining forces to slowly shift, sag, and slide.

Let’s break it down — layer by layer (with love and a little humor).

🧴 The Skin
Once plump, glowy and tight — like a juicy peach.
Now? Drier, thinner, less collagen, and more “I swear that wrinkle wasn’t there yesterday.”

📉 Elasticity? Down.
📌 What to do: Hydrate, nourish, and most importantly — support what’s underneath (hint: muscles & fascia).

🧈 Fat Tissue
In youth: evenly distributed, soft and youthful.
With age: disappears from where you want it (cheeks, temples) and gathers where you don’t (jowls, under the chin).

🎭 It’s like your face is rearranging itself — but forgot to consult you first.

📌 What to do: Improve circulation, reduce puffiness, restore natural volume positioning.

💪 Facial Muscles
Your muscles are like emotional journals — every frown, laugh, or stress moment leaves a mark.
Over time, some stay stuck in a tense state for years 😅

Levator muscles (the lifters) weaken, while depressors (the down-pullers) go into overdrive.

📌 What to do: Release tension, retrain the balance — like a gym session, but for your face.

🦴 Bone Structure
Yes, your bones are aging too.
The facial skeleton loses volume over time — especially around the eyes, jawline, and temples.

📉 With less support underneath, everything above begins to collapse downward.
No pressure.

📌 What to do: Strengthen the soft tissues and support structures — so they can lift and hold themselves naturally.

✅ Bottom Line:
Facial aging isn’t just about skin. It’s about structural changes — from bone to fascia to fat and muscle.
But here’s the good news: you don’t need needles or surgery to fight it.

✨ With deep manual techniques like Split FaceMassage, we restore:
🔹 movement
🔹 tone
🔹 balance
🔹 and visible shape — naturally, from the inside out.

🎨 Frida knew: being a woman means pain, art, and resistance.
But who said that list can’t include a little lifting too? 💅

She survived crashes, revolutions, betrayals.
She painted her brows like others write destinies.
She was bold, bright, and brutally real.

But even Frida — the great Frida — once looked in the mirror and said:
“Enough. I don’t have to suffer on my face too.”

💥 She walked into the room.
💆‍♀️ Laid down on the table.
🔥 Split massage. No revolution needed.

Now her face is as free as her spirit.
Muscles relaxed. Eyes — sharp again.
No filters. Just anatomy and freedom.

Because a woman’s power
is not only in the fight —
but also in loving what she sees.
No compromises.

What Does Facial Massage Do to Facial Fat?

When done properly and regularly, facial massage can have a significant positive impact on your facial fat and overall tissue health.

✅ Benefits of Facial Massage for Facial Fat and Tissues:
Stimulates Blood Circulation and Lymphatic Drainage
→ Improves nutrition to fat pads, prevents swelling, and helps eliminate excess fluid.
→ Especially important in areas prone to stagnation, like the lower face and under-eye region.

Enhances Trophic Support (Nutrition) of Fat Tissue
→ Fat tissue needs good blood supply to stay healthy. When muscles are tense or circulation is poor, fat can thin or become fibrotic.
→ Massage “revives” these areas, including deep fat compartments like the Bichat fat pad.

Reduces Muscle Hypertonicity That Deforms Fat Pads
→ Tight muscles, especially chewing muscles, compress and displace fat pads.
→ Massage helps restore fat pads to their proper anatomical position.

Prevents Fibrosis and Fluid Stagnation
→ Where lymph flow is blocked, tissue hardening begins.
→ Proper massage improves tissue fluidity and prevents fat pad “collapse.”

Supports Volume and Facial Contours
→ Especially in the upper face, where fat tends to atrophy.
→ In the lower face, massage helps reduce excess volume by improving lymphatic drainage.

⚠️ What Can Incorrect Massage Do to Facial Fat?
Cause Downward Displacement of Fat Pads
→ For example, too much pressure on the cheek can pull the Bichat fat pad downward — hello, jowls.

Compress and Atrophy Fat Tissue
→ Harsh or overly frequent massage without understanding tissue layers can push fat out or cause fibrosis.

Accelerate Aging by Tissue Damage
→ Micro-tears in ligaments and excessive force destroy the structural support for fat.

FACIAL FAT: NOT THE ENEMY, BUT YOUR ALLY

Facial Fat: More Than Just “Extra” — It’s Essential Support for a Youthful Look
When we talk about facial fat, we’re not referring to last night’s dinner showing up in your cheeks. Facial fat is actually a vital part of your facial structure — it plays an important role in shaping your face, maintaining youthful volume, and supporting your skin and muscles.

Let’s take a closer look:

🧬 The Architecture of Your Face
Your face is made up of multiple layers — each with a specific role:

Top layer: Skin

Second layer: Subcutaneous fat — this is where facial fat lives

Third layer: Muscles (SMAS layer)

Fourth: Ligaments and anatomical spaces

Fifth: Deep structures like fascia and bone (the foundation)

So yes — your fat isn’t just “under the skin.” It’s placed in strategic zones that influence facial volume, expression, and aging.

🎯 Not One Big Mass — But Specialized Compartments
Facial fat is not a single blob. It’s organized into precise, well-defined compartments — each with its own function.

Here are just a few key players:

Suprabrow fat pad – located under the eyebrow, it softens the upper face

Temporal fat pad – supports the temple area

SOOF (sub-orbicularis oculi fat) – located under the eye muscles

Infraorbital fat pads – help maintain volume under the eyes

Nasolabial fat pad – supports the smile area

Buccal and Bichat’s fat pads – shape the cheeks and midface

Chin and jawline fat pads – maintain the contour of the lower face

These compartments work together to support the skin and facial features. But they are sensitive to aging, stress, posture, and even sleep habits.

🌟 Spotlight: Bichat’s Fat Pad
This is one of the most important fat pads — located deep in the cheeks. It provides essential volume and helps keep the midface lifted. It sits right between the chewing muscle, facial nerves, and salivary glands.
When under pressure — from muscle tension, sleep position, or incorrect facial massage — it can shift downward, contributing to sagging and jowls.

🔍 Why It Matters
Facial fat:

Supports skin and muscle tone

Maintains volume in youth and midlife

Can shift, atrophy, or become heavy with time

Greatly influences the shape and symmetry of the face

So no — fat is not the enemy. It’s one of your greatest allies in graceful aging. It needs support, care, and mindful movement — not fear.

💬 Want to maintain a sculpted, lifted, well-rested appearance?
Let’s support your facial fat, not fight it. Think of it not as “extra” — but essential.

🎨 “The Day I Looked in the Mirror… and Saw Cubism”
He painted me for hours.
First — as a woman.
Then — as the idea of a woman.

Pablo used to say I was a mystery.
That every angle of my face held the drama of an era.

But I looked at myself in the mirror and thought:
“Why is everything crooked, Pablo?
Or is it not just on the canvas anymore?”

I blamed the lighting.
My mood.
A mild case of existential fatigue.😮‍💨

But deep down, I knew —
my face was losing its shape.
And the mirror had stopped lying.

Cheeks sagged.
My jawline disappeared.
And instead of a woman,
I saw an abstract idea of one.

Until a friend said:
“Try split massage.
Not to be prettier —
To feel like yourself again.”💆‍♀️✨

And from the very first session,
I began to come back together:
✔️ Cheekbones returned
✔️ Jawline reappeared
✔️ My face felt like mine again

Now, when I look in the mirror — I smile.☺
And even if Picasso painted me cubist again,
it would be a creative choice — not my morning reflection.

Split FaceMassage.
Because sometimes,
you don’t want a version of yourself.
You just want you.

🧬 TISSUES — NOT ABOUT TEXTILES, BUT ABOUT YOU!

While you’re reading this, your tissues are working 24/7: protecting, moving, thinking, and holding everything together inside. And no, this isn’t Harry Potter magic — it’s biology. 😄

🧠 We’ve got 4 main “squads”:

Epithelial — your body armor. Skin, mucous membranes, glands. First line of defense.

Connective — body’s duct tape: bones, cartilage, fat, blood, lymph. Without it, you’d literally fall apart.

Muscle — move like Beyoncé. Even blinking is all her work.

Nervous — the body’s main Wi-Fi network. Sends signals, runs the show.

🎯 The VIP squad — connective tissue!
It keeps you together, but with age:
🔻 Less collagen
🔻 Skin starts “feeling down”
🔻 Joints creak like an old door

💆‍♀️ What to do? Massage!
Not just a treat — it’s a gym workout for your skin:

🔹 Epithelial (top layer) — boosts circulation, skin renews, face glows like a phone screen at 100% charge
🔹 Connective tissue (dermis, fat, fascia) — triggers collagen and elastin production, skin tightens, and puffiness runs away like it’s dodging a fine
🔹 Facial muscles — relax and tone up, face contour sharpens like the perfect selfie lighting

💆‍♀️ Does Facial Massage Stretch Your Skin? Let’s Clear This Up!

One of the most common fears is that facial massage will stretch the skin and make you look like a dumpling. 🥟

It’s easy to understand why — skin is delicate! But actually, it’s quite the opposite.

✅ What really causes sagging skin?

🔹 Skin doesn’t stretch from touch.
It sags when there’s swelling, tight muscles, or fibrosis underneath. In that state, the skin loses support and starts to hang — like an old curtain.

🔹 The main culprits behind sagging are weak ligaments, stagnant lymph flow, and poor muscle tone.

💬 Think of it like a house with a sinking foundation. Without a strong base, the roof will sag too. Your face is no different — without a solid muscle and ligament framework, the skin can’t hold its shape.

🔍 What does SplitMassage do?
It’s a deep manual technique that:
✔️ Restores lymph flow and reduces swelling
✔️ Balances muscles — easing tension and slackness
✔️ Improves fascia mobility for supple, elastic tissues
✔️ Supports ligaments — maintaining your facial contours and shape

The result? Natural skin tightening because healthy support is restored from the inside out.

📌 Bottom line:
Massage doesn’t stretch your skin — it helps it regain firmness and shape.
So expect a lifted, defined, and refreshed look — not puffiness.

THE REAL STORY BEHIND THE MONA LISA

I was painted by Leonardo da Vinci. And then... I turned 45.
When you're the Mona Lisa, you know what it means to have a flawless look:
That soft oval face, the iconic smile, the forehead of a goddess, and eyes full of secrets.

Leonardo spent hours painting me, pouring the essence of eternal youth into every brushstroke.
He even invented sfumato — just to give my cheeks that dreamy glow.
But time? Oh, it’s a less generous artist.

At 45, I looked in the mirror — not the museum kind, the regular kind — and thought:
“Who is that?”

🔸 My cheeks? More auntie than art
🔸 Jawline? Melting like Renaissance wax
🔸 My mysterious gaze? Now just permanently tired

I tried everything: golden creams, jade rollers, ancient masks made from herbs with unpronounceable names.
And guess what? Nothing stuck — except the aging.

Then one day, I heard it:
— “Have you tried split massage?”

I raised a skeptical eyebrow (still got it), but gave it a go.

And wow. Just wow.

✨ My face remembered its masterpiece days
✨ Cheeks perked up like they heard applause
✨ Jawline? Sharp enough to sign autographs
✨ And the gaze? Back to "enigmatic" — with a wink

Now? I'm not just a portrait — I'm a presence.
People don’t just pass by... they pause.

Sure, paint may fade — but thanks to SPLIT FaceMassage, my face won’t.

✨ NASOLABIAL FOLDS: WHEN MASSAGE GIVES YOUR FACE A SECOND WIND ✨
As we age 🕰️ — and due to daily habits and lifestyle — our facial structure begins to change in noticeable ways.

One of the first signs? The downward shift ⬇️ of the midface fat pads (a.k.a. the cheek and zygomatic fat compartments).
In youth, these fat pads give the midface volume and lift. But over time, as ligaments weaken 🧵 and skin loses elasticity, they begin to descend.

At the same time, jaw tension increases — especially in the masseter muscles. These strong chewing muscles 💪, when chronically overactive, literally pull the soft tissues inward and downward 🔽, deepening the nasolabial folds and distorting the lower face 😟.

📌 At this point, many turn to fillers as a “quick fix.”

On the surface, it makes sense — fill the fold, smooth the line.
But here’s the catch: Fillers don’t address the root cause — which is muscle imbalance and fat pad descent.
They only mask the symptoms❗

⛔ Repeated filler injections in the nasolabial area can actually make things worse over time — triggering fibrosis (scar-like tissue buildup), which adds weight and heaviness to the midface.
And enhancing the lips without considering overall facial balance can push tissues downward, making the folds appear even deeper.

So what’s the natural solution?

✅ Restore harmony in the facial structure through:
– Muscle work (sculpting massage, myofascial and buccal techniques)
– Improving lymphatic drainage and circulation
– Releasing the neck and trapezius tension

🔹 In this session, I:

✔️ Gently released masseter tension — relieving compression in the lower face
✔️ Targeted the cheekbones and nasolabial area
✔️ Activated lymphatic flow — reducing puffiness and helping tissues return to their natural position
✔️ Relaxed and lifted the modiolus and surrounding muscles
✔️ Restored muscular balance — leaving the face naturally lifted, with no “overdone” look

🔥 TIPS FOR THE “TIRED” AGING TYPE — ME, IN A NUTSHELL 🔥

So, here I am — the classic “tired” aging type. You know, the one where all your facial tissues decide to slowly slide south over time, leaving you with that permanently exhausted look.

🔍 What’s going on with me?
I’ve got those early dark circles under my eyes, my facial tissues feel soft and a bit weak, and I tend to puff up like a balloon sometimes. I look like I’ve been deep in thought — or maybe overthinking (which isn’t always bad, right?).

👍 But hey — I’ve got a win: a great neck and pretty solid posture! 👍
I’m not glued to my phone or chained to my computer for hours — so that’s something.

What am I doing (or should be doing) about it?
✅ Watching my diet!
Cutting back on simple carbs like fast food, sweets, and pastries — because nobody wants glucose spikes and extra pounds.

☝ And salty snacks? I limit those too — pickles and smoked meats only on special occasions. Sodium loves to hold onto water and make me look puffier.

✅ Fighting surface puffiness.
Regular Gua Sha and manual facial massage along my lymph lines help drain the excess fluid and reduce swelling.

✅ Managing stress like a champ.
Stress is the silent enemy of my youthful face. When I’m tense, my jaw clenches, my muscles spasm, and before I know it, my facial contour starts drifting south.

☝ Stress isn’t just in my head — it’s in my body too! Sleepless nights, skipping workouts, and bad eating habits just add fuel to the fire. And those dark circles? Yeah, they love that combo.

✅ Strengthening my facial framework and lifting those stubborn fat pads.
For now, gentle toning massages and occasional lymphatic drainage keep me in shape. But as the years go on, I’ll need some professional help to tighten those ligaments and lift everything back up.

If I ignore these tips, well… after 35, things are going to get a bit more interesting. 😉

🔥 How SPLIT massage is my secret weapon:
✏ Normalizes eye nutrition and shrinks those pesky dark circles
✏ Moves fat from problem spots and says goodbye to jowls
✏ Works on the muscle pulling down my mouth corners — bringing my smile back up
✏ Tightens ligaments and sharpens my facial contour

What other trouble spots do you see in my portrait now — or predict down the road? Tell me your thoughts!

WHY LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MATTERS (AND WHEN IT DOESN’T!) 💧✨

Think of your lymphatic system as your body’s personal garbage disposal — it sweeps away waste, bacteria, and extra fluid, then sends it all back to the heart. Pretty neat, right?

But when this system slows down or gets clogged... oh boy, trouble starts:
⛔ Waste piles up in your tissues like a messy closet
⛔ Fibrosis and sclerosis sneak in, making skin stiff
⛔ Tissues sag — hello, unwanted droopiness!
⛔ Double chin and jowls pop up uninvited
⛔ Puffy edema shows up around your nose and those pesky nasolabial folds
⛔ Malar bags (those under-eye pouches) come knocking
⛔ Your central face starts changing in ways you don’t love

Sounds scary? It gets better — or worse: lymphatic drainage isn’t a one-size-fits-all miracle.

Here’s the twist: if you have a thin face (you know, with little natural fat padding), aggressive lymphatic drainage might backfire big time.

Why? Because your face already lacks volume. Removing even more fluid can make your features look sunken, tired, and — yep — older. Not the glow-up you wanted! 😒

🎯 So, before diving into any facial massage, take a moment to get your face type diagnosed.

Knowing what your face really needs is the secret sauce to looking fresh, lifted, and fabulous — without accidentally turning your glow into a ghost story. 👻✨
